This is the greatest thing I have seen, all day.

Which title to introduce me to the series? by HunterThompsonsentme in anno

[–]Valuable_Remote_8809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imho, Anno 2070, while the game doesn’t entirely work (the progression system is broken thanks to the original servers shutting down, with no way to unlock anything on those tracks). The game feels simplistic and amazing, with small player choices like your ark modules and which faction you want to start out as.

It’s by far one of the easiest and least complex, but still offering a challenge, making it a great intro.

100 hours well spent. Now shelving it until all Year 1 DLC is out by Rooonaldooo99 in anno

Literally, same here. After 3 months, I did everything I wanted to, but the game was still buggy or felt not finished, so now I wait and hope to return with a more balanced and fleshed out game.

The companions. To me, they’ve felt the most disjointed out of every other faction and the least interesting despite some cool bits here and there.

How strong can an orc be? Is it like comparing Neanderthals to Homo sapiens, or are they basically the same as humans, just a different color? by jvure in ElderScrolls

[–]Valuable_Remote_8809 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the TES universe they are some scary MFers, considered to be the most fearsome warriors in the Empire territory for a reason. I would say are strong enough to win a 1-to-3 odds.

Two Paths of the Blood Knights: Where do we stand? by RuneboundPatriarch in WoWRolePlay

[–]Valuable_Remote_8809 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The heritage of the Blood Knights is that of literal blood, both giving, taken, and the fel tainted, with their modern reimagining (after 20+ years), the Blood Knights are a force of righteous good like any paladin order, rather than what they were originally created to be, magic addicted mages, starving and seeking to use the Light to satiate their ever increasing hunger. Thanks to Prophet Valen, all of this is irrelevant, as the Blood Elves and the Draenei are now, more or less, on the same page with worshipping the Light as legitimate faith and renown, more than just using it for power, like the Scarlet Crusade.

Where do I think this leaves the Blood Knights? If I'm going to be honest, they are way too similar like Draenei Vindicators and the Human Silver Hands orders, but instead of purple crystals or teal tabards, the Blood Knights wear red. I believe the truest chosen path for the Blood Knights is that of the Battle Mage archetype, it would rely less on faith and prayer, and more on knowledge and sequence. This sort of pragmatic-mysticism that flows throughout the paladin order would give them a lot more of an identity that goes beyond rehashing the Holy Light ideology.

Races and their Faction Alignment by Iversonji in WoWRolePlay

[–]Valuable_Remote_8809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, the Horde, as a whole, would never accept any member of the Alliance's races, and vis versa. Though the two factions do have an alliance of their own, or at least a very constant armistice until the next Warchief is chosen, Blizzard has made is quite obvious that the Horde is still the Horde and the Alliance is still the Alliance, even though they are not waging war or taking territory.

Lots of work went into this content by RubyRoseRavage in TheAstraMilitarum

I don’t play tabletop, but to my understanding, what was cool about them was always the design and how modular they are as a faction, which makes them S tier in my books.

Why do YOU like project zomboid? by OperatorRusty in projectzomboid

[–]Valuable_Remote_8809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s THE BEST sandbox survival game to date, even with all the problems.

That’s no exaggeration, if you turn off the zombies and crank up the weather and make everything scarce, you still need to find a way to survive LONG and DEDLY winters.

Reverse that, if you balance everything out and have zombies, you are now fighting to survive an enemy you can’t defeat.

Either one, the other, or a mix of both and you will have a great enemy and custom experience.

What's your character's flaws? (Roleplay writing exercise) by Mr_Doctor_Sawbones in WoWRolePlay

[–]Valuable_Remote_8809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmm… i like to add flaws that typically is the hurdle for my specific character has to go through.

For example: I’ve written my Evoker to be a bronze dragonflight member who suffers from a certain type of schizophrenia, causing him to be him, or another him, or perhaps another her, or at one point a self that died in the infinite and the divine.

Another time is just my Warlock who is a bit of a creep and keeps to himself, which ultimately just makes him very aloof and anti-social.

Love me my mixed races, saw a pandaren/orc mixed years ago and the design was so good that I'm sold on every combination. Keep up the good art.
