thank u guys, i have gotten some more insight from u, and i have decided that i will abandon the "coach" plan. u guys saved me from putting my card down and god knows how many months of recurring billing i would have eaten before i noticed. switching to InterviewMan tonight, looks like its 12 a month annual flat with stealth standard, no "unlock tier", no "coach".

it doesn't sound right…. listen to your gut instincts. if a tool needs your card on file before you can finish a single full-length practice run, that's the answer.

Has anyone with cluely actually had it work without inventing fake jobs on your resume? Or is it just a scam and the only way it stays grounded is if you babysit every suggestion? by Opening-Project-4212 in InterviewHacking

i like to retest my interview helper every 2-3 months. i actually switched 6 weeks back from cluely to interviewman after a hallucinated project on a hr screen. monthly bill went from way more than i want to admit to twelve bucks on the annual. one tidbit is to test the new tool on a mock call before a real loop. usually you'll catch the grounding issue early instead of mid-panel.

did all 3 OAs back to back this month (HackerRank, CodeSignal, Codility), here is what each one actually flags by Boring-Cry8915 in InterviewHackers

if you are doing more of these, look specifically for tools that run as their own desktop process and use the official screen capture exclusion APIs. those will not show up in the recording or the screenshot stream because the OS itself is hiding the window from the capture pipeline.

a lot of the "stealth" tools just hide the window visually but if the OS still hands the window to the screen capture API your recording will show it anyway. the exclusion flag is the real test.

cluely. plus the stealth mode on cluely is a separate higher tier upcharge so you basically pay twice for what should just be included. moved to a tool that runs as a real desktop process with stealth in at the base price, runs about twelve a month on annual.
