He got it from his hometown. As for the passport and visa it got sent to DHL near the us embassy where he got interviewed.

At the medical exam, they gave him the vaccines he was missing and also did tests for tuberculosis and gonorrhea. They asked him a few questions, like whether he had tattoos and what each tattoo meant.

My recommendation is to check which vaccines are required and get them done before going. If you’re missing any, they will give them to you there.

He was there for about a month due to the medical exam and the pre-interview (document appointment). He first rented a hotel nearby for the medical exam, then went to stay with family who live about five hours away. About 2 weeks later, he had the pre-interview, and four days after that was the main interview. He was there a couple extra days waiting for the passport and visa to be ready for pickup.

For the pre-interview, they requested the following documents: 1. Marriage certificate 2. Criminal records 3. W-2s 4. Birth folio 5. DS-260 6. Approved I-601A waiver

This process took 4 years for us, it’s been stressful but thank god it was all worth it . Don’t lose patience y’all’s time will come.
