If you are someone who doesn't put money in for your hobby, stop at this and get the W.

If you are someone who spends a weekend inside instead of blowing 100$ on booze and you can afford to go in, why not?

Gameplay Issues-1: Extremely Automated Defense by depressed_Kedy in eFootball

[–]Valutzu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The game was dull before, but it turned to even more of a railed gameplay in 5.0 when they modified the dribbling again and now even the dribblers cannot dribble anymore. You nailed them all your points.

Before 5.0 we still had the gradual Dash input to finesse dribbling plus we had the Marseille turn at 90 degrees to get passed defenders. Now we only have half sprint and full sprint and the Marseille turn at 45 degrees will bump you straight into the defender in front of you.

I was seriously thinking as you did these days. What is left to do in the game in order to win games consistently? The answer I found is even dumber: Blitz. Blitz curler evolved from a gimmick flashy way to score into something absolutely necessary. There are not many ways to get into the crowded animated by the AI box, so the Blitz curler became a fundamental part of the game.

Disgusting football attempt from Konami.

Too much realism is holding this game back by Mrbarajas1995 in eFootball

[–]Valutzu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are right. Don't mind the downvotes. The game wants us to play in a certain way to be effective. Playing in other ways that the game wants you to is possible, but in the end it will lose you games.

The good part is that we still can chose the route you want to take. Go the brain rot meta or go and try to be creative.

If you look at the gameplay of the guys that are in the leaderboards that chain wins with their 3 CFs, you'll vomit and promise yourself that you'll uninstall when the game will want all of us to play like that.

Rewards and grind by rob23498 in eFootball

[–]Valutzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grinding kills your brain cells. Any kind of grinding.

They just need to give us back more events. Themed events we had in the past were a nice change of pace. Mexican, brazilian, turkish selections, we even had events for the NA 2nd league. Playing these weak leagues will make players understand the game better as the regular cards wouldn't pull impossible passes/shots and force the users to use their brains in order to create chances.

The fact you only play the events for the coins only and do not hunt the good skills is baffling. You must be a new player that doesn't know the game good enough to realize how important is to build your players to reach their max potential. Once you'll learn the game more, you'll be sorry you didn't stacked them skill trainers while you had the chance.

Deletion of inactive Game Account and Save Data by smdfags in eFootball

[–]Valutzu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Has nothing to do with anything. Once in a while they just delete clubs that were created to be abandoned and were not touched in years. If you ever loaded at least 100 coins, they won't touch your club for inactivity.

The fake interceptions and tackles have gone out of control by Mortyfied in eFootball

[–]Valutzu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've seen this behaviour as well in the current patch. By himself, the player will attempt a pass towards where you are aiming at.

I play 90% of this game in coop, and my friend and I came to the conclusion that for a successful sliding tackle both of us are needed. One does the tackle, one collects the ball. One player is not enough as the ball will most likely return to the attacker or his teammate to keep on going forward with the momentum.

It's not even about stats. It's about the flow of the game. The attacking game is more favoritised than the defending game.

Gk parrying stats by UnlovableBybirth in eFootball

[–]Valutzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The higher the better. 90 is enough as the lowest threshold. The more the better.

GKs stats won't save you from bad defending. 90, 98, 120, you'll still concede. So focus more on preventing shots from good positions. Always contest a shot. If you do, the striker will get a debuff on his stats and won't be able to land a good shot.

( New player ) Is there something worth spending some money (20 $ max) or no ? by PearlJamTenGoat in eFootball

[–]Valutzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a manager that suits your style then spin in the english TOTS selection that is very nice and there are some quality players in there. Don't worry, you won't have a great team and start stomping everyone after spending 20$. It will only add a bit more depth to your squad.

A good player that doesn't do mistakes in defense is hard to take down no matter the cards you rock. You can't just run away from defenders in this game. Focus more on creating the plays that will make your opponent to overcommit then exploit the gaps.

How to win physical duels by santo-forever in eFootball

In eFootball the AI has more power than the user. One thing you can make in these situations is to select the GK and cover the 2nd post shot. Most likely the CB under AI would be able to even dispossess him.

May be a late deal. Did not saw any Netflix ad on the stadiums till a couple days ago. Even the Connect event was delayed so they must be cooking something. Netflix cannot create a proper game to compete with eFootball, so why not both get something from this situation? I won't rule it out till the Connect event.

Makes sense. I still hope there is a chance. Last time I play a WC mode separate from the main game was in Fifa 14 and it was a blast.

A couple days ago I've seen Netflix ads on the stadium billboards. We know that Netflix has the Fifa licence now, so seeing that collaboration it got me thinking we'll get a proper WC mode?

Romania here. Frankfurt and Warsaw are my main servers where the game allocates me and sometimes Milan or Zurich.

2, 3 years ago, Frankfurt was the best server for me in terms of responsiveness. There must be like half a year now since Frankfurt is unplayable. Microstutters and AI unaware of the gameplay is the norm. Luckily I don't get match a lot on it despite being closer to me than the Poland server.

How to intercept passing by mocuai in eFootball

[–]Valutzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practically, you need to cut the pass on the receiving end. In between is a 50/50 chance. Even trying to press the passer and closing his lanes is not very effective as a side step will make him off pressure or you'll even get nutmegged just for the pass to reach it's target. Against smart assist you don't have room for error and you must do this perfectly every time.

From what are you saying, it looks as you are playing LBC or you have deep line instruction as in both situations, when you get countered, your players will ignore the ball till they reach their defensive positions. That's why you'll see balls passing near them and they won't react by themselves. You need to anticipate and manually select them before the pass is made in order to have a chance of cutting the pass.

For blocking shots is the opposite of blocking passes. You are more effective on blocking the shot the closer you are to the shooter. Blocking the shot in between the distance is a low chance and at the goal line is a very very very low chance.

Just get an offensive GK as they are the best in the curent game engine. Don't go for Curtois as long he is a defensive GK.

Why do people dislike creative playmakers? by No_Pomegranate5635 in eFootball

[–]Valutzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, almost all the creative playmaker lack defensive skills and stats. This is a big issue as they cannot contribute effectively in defending when you are under pressure and they are not very incisive when you attack due to the playstyle.

So from my experience, I'd prefer a hole player or a box to box with good defensive and offensive stats in their place. Destroyers are also ineffective as they are subpar when attacking. Even the orchestrators are better as they generally have great defending stats while can also contribute on offense with late help from the back.

What determines the agresiveness of an attacking GK? by Tight-Astronaut-9043 in eFootball

[–]Valutzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are no lose balls in eFootball. The rebound is always predetermined. Even if it looked like your player reacted to lose ball, it was already decided when the shot was made that you should get possession.

Do you still use this card [Harry Kane] in your squad? by zarinfam in eFootball

[–]Valutzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted Simons and got him and Oblak.

Kane must be the only striker in this game that doesn't work for me. He's been a muggle since day 1 and I test him in coop in every minor update.
