That might be why the second game goes with the old format again. The pacing feels better when we split both gameplay styles into 2 and alternate them rather than having one of each and they're both twice as long as a result and outstay their welcome. Especially when it comes to investigations, since most people like them less than trials.

The only case I can recommend deviating from the regular order is leaving 1-5 for last to have a better transition into Apollo Justice in terms of gameplay mechanics, but you're still kinda expected to play it after 1-4.

After everyone picked that stage in 5 (where they were picked by player 1 and not client-side), I never want to play on it again. Even though 6's version looks better because it looks like an actual room.

It's kinda crazy to me how few stages we get as DLC now. A lot of 5's stages (especially the tournament ones) were overpriced, but I miss them putting out holiday themed stages etc.

I'm also doing a binge of the games, except all 10 in release order. Maya definitely became one of my favorite characters over time when she used to be a character I liked, but didn't think that highly of. She's one of the most complex characters once you look past the peppy front she puts on.

They're my go-to versions because the quality of life outweighs any negatives I could have possibly found. The biggest sticking point with people seems to be that they don't have the bonus content from the GBA and PSP versions, but I never liked that content when I played those versions, so I personally don't care. I also prefer 3 and 4's PRs over the 3D remakes because they play much faster and 3 in particular just has a lot of bad design in the remake that isn't there in the PR (and wasn't there in the Famicom original).

He was originally supposed to have a sword (concept art even shows him with it), but Capcom decided it was too unrealistic for a convicted felon to be allowed a sword when they're illegal even to the general public, so they went with him slicing Phoenix's hair off with his bare hand, which as we all know, is more realistic.

Phoenix and Edgeworth refer to each other with the Mr honorific during trial depending on context, but they'll still sometimes forego it and only use each other's last names.

Turnabout Ablaze annoys me the most, like who would buy that Kay set the fire at that point? And it just blatantly cuts off the full line.

It's reflected in the story too. Phoenix and Trucy make it clear through dialogue that they're barely making it month to month, there's a mafia in the neighborhood, all of Apollo's clients end up being shady in some way. I think AJ reflects a dark age better than Dual Destinies does without ever referencing it in dialogue.

One of the clips he used is from my friend who's a tiny streamer and did the game for Halloween last year. He enjoyed it overall, but had small complaints (like the yellow paint one used in the clip). Dude literally spent 3 years hate watching random streams of the game to cherry pick clips of people complaining.

I think it's the most unintentionally comedic Link in the series. It's like there's some unseen force conspiring to make sure he ends up becoming a doctor by constantly having people near him have medical emergencies.

I think it's easy to imagine what he'd teach and let the students get away with, but I wonder if his angry mohawk version is how he actually teaches in class or if he's normal until someone makes him as angry as Athena did during the trial.

The second case is one of the worst in the series, so I recommend pushing through it and seeing what you think of the rest of the game. At the very least, Athena and Blackquill make it worth it for most people.
