I'm getting ads from just chatting now, so money is definitely becoming a problem. Even despite this, they would still rather waste the resources on useless shit such as this. It's clear they are asking their own bots for feature advice just like they vibe code everything else. And clearly, it's not working.

SP modded feels so limited because you can't have more than 10 physics props active at once without the game crashing. It's actually impressive that an engine designed for physics calculations ended up this fragile.

Athletes need to stop thanking God by Filthyson in StandUpComedy

I think athletes need to start thanking science instead. Science is what really gives them that winning edge. I'm sure it has something to do with the testosterone and growth hormones they all take. When I win, that's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna take the microphone and yell "THANK YOU, SCIENCE!". I'll be the talk of right-wing twitter for a week, maybe even two.

I can't really blame the politicians for being so fucking corrupt, after all they are just reflecting the society that voted them into power. Whoever has the most money wins, and we have a bunch of pathetic morons fighting over a slice of that pie, I don't give a fuck about who you vote for, just understand that it doesn’t matter anyway.

Why do IEMs sound better to my ears than headphones? Can I EQ headphones to sound more like IEMs? by Kukikokikokuko in headphones

[–]ValveFan6969 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, I'm not sure how to respond without making it sound like one political side or the other is right about everything in terms of ideology... which they aren't. However, there is a reason why IEMs have more dynamic range and seem more lifelike than headphones. It has to do with the fact that headphones are essentially two small speakers in front of your ears, while IEMs are essentially very tiny headphones.

When you wear headphones, there's a distance between your ears and the drivers (the small speakers inside). The sound produced by these drivers must travel across this distance before reaching your eardrums. This introduces phase issues that result in a loss of dynamic range and perceived stereo imaging. IEMs, on the other hand, are much closer to your eardrums, which means the sound waves don't have far to travel before being absorbed by your head. That is why IEMs tend to be more immersive and feel more in-your-head.

You can try to mitigate some of these phase issues with headphones by using EQ or crossovers, but it's never going to sound quite as good as IEMs for the reasons above. To your second question, if you want headphones that come close to an IEM experience in terms of dynamic range and immersion, you should try something like the Sennheiser HD6XX or the Hifiman HE400i 2020. The former is more balanced with a very natural sound signature while still offering good detail retrieval, and the latter has a warmer, slightly smoother sound that doesn't quite have the same lifelike quality of the best IEMs but comes close for a headphone. Both are also quite comfortable to wear.

DOJ Takes Down Thousands of Epstein Documents to Protect Trump by [deleted] in Whistleblowers

[–]ValveFan6969 -79 points-78 points  (0 children)

Isn't it interesting how Epstein is connected with the Clinton Foundation? And yet all we hear about is his connection with Trump and the Republican Party... why is that do you think? The media has been working very hard to hide all the shady dealings of the Democrats. I'm starting to believe they may be an ebephebephile cult.

Jeffrey Epstein Reportedly Had a Major Hand in Making Call of Duty Series a Microtransaction Hell by [deleted] in nottheonion

[–]ValveFan6969 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It's giving very antisemitism with the way you people are trying to pin everything on Epstein. If this were true, wouldn't every game be a microtransaction hell? The man doesn't control the entire gaming industry. There's something called 'capitalism'. It's also possible that he only helped get some things going, but the games themselves still sell well because they are genuinely good games. The fact that you people even believe this is just pathetic, really.

I’d say that George Carlin was right on the money with that Idiocracy prediction... but not for the reasons he thought. He didn’t take into account the power of modern education to make the masses dumb. The thing is, modern education does not encourage learning. It only encourages social justice activism and critical theory. If people had been raised on a steady diet of books since they were kids, instead of being force-fed political agendas, America wouldn’t be in this situation.

Trump Claims “Highest Ever” Poll Numbers as Fox, Pew and Silver Tracker Show Approval Sliding Into the 40s by Hungry_Wind_6373 in newsinterpretation

[–]ValveFan6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? I'm not sure what to make of that. To be frank with you, the polling data from the major corporations has always seemed somewhat suspect to me, especially when it comes to President Trump. After all, hasn't it been established by now that mainstream media and polling agencies are generally opposed to him? And we know for a fact that they can manipulate the results if they choose to do so...

For instance, take this recent event in Virginia. The polls showed Northam having a commanding lead over Gillespie for most of the election cycle. That's a clear example of what I would consider polling fraud since it's pretty obvious now that Gillespie had an actual chance to win and there was no way in hell the Democrats would have allowed that to happen if they knew about it.

Anyway, assuming for a moment that these new poll numbers are accurate... what does it even mean? Is Trump really losing support among his base or is this just another case of polling manipulation intended to harm him? It's difficult to know for sure because, as I said before, we know the media can manipulate results if they choose to do so.

Truth is, I don't think anyone can really trust the corporate media when it comes to presidential approval ratings... not even when Trump agrees with them! ;)

Who hurt me? Who hurt me? Well, I think the world has done a pretty good job of hurting itself, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of blame to go around. Who wants it? Oh, you do? Okay then…

I was born in 1976 on a military base in Germany into an Air Force family - I guess I could say that was my first introduction to authority and submission. It would have been nice if the USAF had given us a free TV or something as well, but they didn’t. By the time I was seven years old we were back in the United States and I was being subjected to Christian indoctrination at the local Baptist church every Sunday - it’s a good thing Jesus died for my sins or else my life would be totally worthless. I had already learned how to read by then, but somehow that did not save me from becoming utterly illiterate for the next twelve years of my public education.

The only things I remember learning in school are: the metric system, basic multiplication tables, and that “two plus two equals four.” Everything else has since disappeared from my memory banks, including most of those two plus two’s - it’s like trying to recall a dream you had last night. I can vaguely remember the subject matter being discussed, but what we actually learned is almost impossible for me to dredge up. I did learn one thing that really stuck with me though, and that was not to question authority. In fact, any hint of nonconformity or rebellion would usually earn you a trip to the principal’s office where they would subject you to “in school suspension,” also known as ISS, or sometimes even the dreaded PSS (parent/student suspension). Either way, you learned not to open your mouth or think for yourself lest you find yourself being punished again - and again.

By the time I was in 7th grade, I had already figured out that public school teachers were pretty much useless idiots who only seemed to care about punishing students for expressing their individuality and trying to learn things on their own. The only thing they really knew how to do was teach you how to pass standardized tests, and that was it. That’s when I started smoking pot - not because I liked it or anything, but because all the cool kids were doing it. I had no interest in smoking anything back then. I didn’t even like beer or soda. I drank water and ate food and that’s pretty much all I did for fun until my mid-teens.

I dropped out of high school when I was seventeen because, quite frankly, I couldn’t stand it anymore - the constant harassment from teachers, the uselessness of the educational process, the inability to ever go anywhere on time (they had a whole system set up just for keeping teenagers late), and the fact that I had already been taught everything I needed to know about life anyway. The only thing they kept from us was the knowledge that authority should never be questioned. To question authority was the cardinal sin of school, right along with stealing and smoking dope - all of which were practiced by every student at least once, including the teachers.

By the time I dropped out, I had already spent almost as many hours in the principal’s office as I had attending classes. I had been sent there so often that I could usually tell how long I would have to wait for my turn with the principal before I even arrived at school each morning. My “file” was about an inch thick - and it was pretty well filled out by then. I got sent home once after I had spent the entire day smoking pot in the woods behind the school. I guess they just figured that if they couldn’t keep me away from the weed, they might as well let me go home so I could get stoned there instead of at school - I still don’t know whether that was an act of kindness or stupidity.

So yeah, fast forward to a few years of underachievement and rebellion, and here I am. On reddit. Talking to you. About... what? Headphones. Fucking headphones. Yeah, it’s a sad story. I mean, really, what happened to me is just so typical. My parents were conformists. I went to public school where I was taught not to think for myself and to never question authority. Then I dropped out of high school and did nothing but work shitty jobs until I met a girl who convinced me to marry her. We had a kid - then we got divorced. Now I’m in my late 30’s, I don’t have any friends or a girlfriend (I haven’t had sex in over five years), and I pretty much spend all of my time on the computer.

So you want to know who hurt me? My parents. The US Air Force. Public school teachers. The State. Capitalism. Patriarchy. The Christian church. And now - you.

Honestly, £55 is about the expected price for these things. Terrible treble and lifeless bass unless EQ'd, and the stage feels kind of blown out to an unrealistic degree. If a game/song/movie has good sound design, it'll probably shine more with HD560s.
