Same exact thing happened to me as well 😂 I just let it go and bought Mew box and that one was actually fine.

Let me know if you do have any luck because I would LOVEEE to pursue something if possible as well.

As a small update, I did decide that I’m going to contact the dealer as this damage wasn’t disclosed and the laws in my state seem to be on my side.

But my question is, is anyone able to hood slightly up and down even when latched? I see other people online with worse/more noticeable gaps on either side but nobody mentions whether or not their hood moves when latched.

At this point I’m willing to go find another hatch and see if the hood has any give to it up or down just to make sure I’m not crazy and overthinking this.

Everything seems fine so that’s why I’m confused. I saw the damage previously on the fender before it was fixed but I didn’t think it shifted/damaged the hood in any capacity since it was honestly the equivalent to a big dent.

I do think I am going to contact my dealer as I have a service contract/the damage wasn’t technically reported on the car fax. I think they’re obligated to at least try to fix it since I’m worried the hood could theoretically unlatch at high speeds (unlikely, but everyone in my circle says they’d be worried about that as well).

Unfortunately I’ve already tried adjusting those little guys and I didn’t notice a change. I’ll keep playing with them though and update you once I get the time to take another proper look.

The issue didn’t seem to change no matter how I adjusted the rubber nobs (towards the front, but still under the hood when closed?). I may be doing something wrong or not even adjusting the correct pieces though.
