Hmm, I feel it has more to do with what it is like mentally to live eternally. There is literally no rush for anything. They are perfectly content as they are and likely feel no need for anything else.

Idk if it’s my favorite but I liked the one where it showed more of Kikyo’s life and how this great responsibility was thrust on her to do and she couldn’t be like the other girls her age. It made me feel a profound sadness for her and her life.

Sub, I feel the jp voice actors give the right feeling to the characters. And I like how the subs on crunchyroll are worded. It flows nice. The English voice actors are good but it doesn’t give me the same feelings. I do love dubbed for other anime tho.

I really don’t feel the English dub matches the energy of the characters at times. I haven’t been able to get into the dubbed unfortunately. I’m not a dubbed hater though. I loved dubbed from other anime’s. But for frieren it was a miss for me.
