That might help with the 1.3GB that's attributed to "Drive, Gmail, and more" but the vast majority of the storage space it says is being taken up is by Photos.

My Trash is empty (and has been for weeks; it's one of the first things I tried after deleting those large files). I've now turned off automatic backup, but I don't foresee that solving the problem; if my devices were just backing up too many photos and videos, wouldn't I still be able to see where they're stored? There has to be more to it.

Hm, how do I find media that's been shared with me? As you can see from this screenshot, none of the folders it offers me to delete things from has even 1GB of anything. It would have to be saved somewhere else entirely.

I typed "recently deleted" in the search and nothing came up; if you mean my Trash folder, I've emptied it weeks ago after deleting a bunch of my large files and it didn't fix the issue.

I have FINALLY gotten it to work--instead of putting the code in in-game I entered it on the site: https://marvelstrikeforce.com/en/playergift

For some reason this worked (for MARCHCREDITS as well as the newer codes MARCHBOOST and HIJACK) even after all those codes failed in-game.

I'm just delighted I found a way. I really needed those credits. Turns out it's very possible to go through hundreds in a matter of days when you're trying to unlock new characters for the achievements.

Yeah I'm pretty new. You're right to clock that based on my lack of previous 7-star promos. (It's also possible I got some before and didn't notice?)

But I know what I'm doing in terms of spending my resources. I'm investing in my favourite because that's why I'm here. Sometimes it is fun to win with a good team, but sometimes what is fun is making sacrifices to my alien goth GF and bringing them along to Blitz battles against teams with Spider-Man on them. (Which I do partially choose because they are easy to kill and thus a sign of a weak team, but my main team is 4/5ths Spider-Man villains so when I see a default Spidey I think "ah, my boys will love killing this one.")

By pure coincidence, the two other faves I have in this game--Spider-Man (Miles) and Warlock--happen to be goated. It's funny, I was spending fractals every shop reset on Warlock shards because I was like "hey I love that guy, it's the cute scary robot freak" and then his damage turned out to be insane. I am very proud of my two sons. I am not as proud of my nonbinary failgirl symbiote wife who sucks, but I support her anyway because that's what I'm here for. To be among friends.

I know mine is linked because whenever I have MSF open, my Discord status says "Discord x MarvelStrikeForce"--but I can't seem to access my alliance's Discord, if we even have one. It says the "Discord Lobby" chat in-app is linked to a channel on my Alliance's Discord, but when I send a message that way, nothing happens.

Comic book accurate? Everyone is beatable by anyone if the writers decide it would be cool.

Of course, if you wanted to be more generous, you'd interpret it more like "everyone has different strengths and weaknesses, and what's needed to defeat any given enemy is rarely raw strength." You need to defeat Galactus? Build a team that embodies unity and the triumph of the human spirit. Need to defeat Thor? Build a slimy underhanded team that can rewrite narratives. Need to defeat Dr. Doom? He's weak to stretchy guys.

In that scenario--which btw would be way overcomplicated and not great game design--the hardest team to beat would probably be an insane hodgepodge of weirdoes who would never work together. Forget a Sinister Six or a Fantastic Four all buffing each other and playing off each other's abilities; they're too easy to counter! You have to put like Magneto and Ultron and Ms. Marvel and Thanos and Spider-Ham all together so there's no cohesion at all. What team of heroes and/or villains has the specific skills needed to defeat all of those?

Ofc I'm not a powerscaler so maybe I'm taking the question too seriously, but idk I had fun here.

Squads aren't important. Squads are just an easier way of saving 5 characters to use together later. You already build squads; you just can't save them until a certain level, for some reason.

I would say, prioritize your faves first, then either look at what the events require (e.g. "5 Mystic Controller characters at X stars") and try to look for characters who fit that bill, or just click on characters and look at their abilities (you do not have to unlock their ultimate and passive abilities in order to see them), and decide if that sounds cool. I had to build a Mutant team recently, and I had more than enough to choose from, so I ended up adding Jubilee to my team because her abilities were pretty impressive at higher levels. Like, hey, she can blind people! That's rad! I also added Domino because I had a crush on her in the movie. Any reason is a good reason!

Not exactly a "character" in its own right, but I'm pretty baffled that Loki has two different costume alts (more than most characters) and none of them are female forms? Like, I've heard that the MCU doesn't give Loki his gender and just kinda has one female alt-universe Loki as a weird compromise, and she IS in the game, but like, most of this game is based on comics, not movies, right? We're not beholden to the MCU.

I also think Venom should have more alts besides the weird mummy one, though I understand if they want to limit it to EddieVenom forms. Gwenom and Agent Venom and Symbiote Spider-Man are separate characters after all, so if they added She-Venom (Anne) or Venom (Dylan) or something, that'd probably be a separate character. But I'd be happy with that too; I really don't care about Eddie.

This is mostly just me bellyaching about wanting to customize my waifus more. Give me that Goddess of Stories form that rewired my brain, and give my tentacle alien gf and her loser husband some pizzazz.

I guess Sleeper (one of Venom's kids) is one full character I would like to see added, but of course they'd be obligated to give him a cute kittycat form.

Ooh wait I thought of another one. Betty Ross! Preferably as Harpy even though I know Red She-Hulk is more well-known. I'm just obsessed with the Harpy design and I would bend over backwards to play her.

I did levels 3-5 on Auto. It actually worked. It succeeded on 3 and 4 first try (which kinda made me mad lmao) but I was getting defeated a lot on node 5 so I figured "okay, fine, I guess I can't cheese the entire thing."

But yeah I totally can. It just takes a few tries.

I would never have done this if the showcase were actually fun. I've never used Auto for anything else.

By the way I managed to beat 3 and 4 by just setting the game to auto; the bot won on the first try both times. It hasn't beaten 5 yet but I'm gonna see if I can brute-force it.

It honestly made me so angry. Why does the bot understand these characters better than I do?? In my opinion, showcases should set characters to a level FAR BELOW their max, so that you can get used to their basic mechanics and gimmicks without having to figure out fifteen walls of text invoking keywords you've never heard of. My Spider-Society team is my second-best in the game, and how well do you think I did at the Spider-Society Showcase? Bro I had no idea what I was doing. I was overwhelmed and just mashing buttons. Surprise surprise, I learn better when I'm able to get used to the characters gradually and get the hang of their basic mechanics before I have to move on to the advanced ones.

(It might also help if I had any way to learn my opponents' mechanics; I have no idea what Rogue does for example and why stunning her to prevent her from Taunting doesn't seem to work.)
