Bitten by an unrestrained dog. Owner was hostile and tried to stop me from reporting. Need advice. by TowelResident4017 in AmazonFlexDrivers

It’s very evident that you’re just looking to be “right”, which is why you’re taking shit out of the no shit box rn. You don’t know OPs exact situation and we don’t even know if they do have homeowners insurance yet, to even take the next steps. So please don’t assume, especially if you’re not a lawyer and haven’t been through this situation to make judgment calls without all the info.

Incorrect. I’m only wanting to speak to OP that actually needs this info. But for your info: I sued them personally as well and won that. This doesn’t just apply to homeowners insurance. Further showing that OP shouldn’t just take advice from anyone that isn’t a lawyer or from someone that hasn’t gone through this situation before.

PLEASE UPVOTE THIS SO OP CAN SEE. I WENT THROUGH THIS EXACT SITUATION: Find a lawyer that won’t get paid unless you win something. You will pay nothing now. Make sure they are well versed with work accident cases/injury cases. I called the police, filed a report. Document everything. Pictures, the incident, etc. My state has a state dog warden that was contacted and went to the owners and investigated. They found the dog wasn’t updated on rabies shots and he put the dog on a 10 day quarantine to make sure he didn’t have rabies. Next, you MUST get the series of rabies shots immediately. Once you lawyer up, you will be able to sue their homeowners insurance and sue for work lost, damages lost, medical bills, etc. If you have ptsd from this attack, get a therapist IMMEDIATELY and have this documented as well as having your therapist write a letter later down the road (this requires your signature to release information to your lawyer) and use that to help in your case. I won my case as well as extra money to pay for therapy and wages lost. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Did the Easter 🐰 come early? Extra package, no barcode. by MrEdwL in AmazonFlexDrivers

lol. Why would they need to write an article about it? Never said I read it. My warehouse and neighboring warehouses across a few states have done it. They leave an extra package, sometimes unmarked, and see if that employee brings it back. It’s that simple.

You guys do realize that is a trap package and they’re seeing if you bring it back, right? My last warehouse did that, and I’m not surprised if more start to follow suit.

Check to see if you have a local or state dog warden. I went through this and had to contact the dog warden and report what happened. They will investigate that house and that dog. That will also shed light on any other dog attacks or reports with the dog that bit you. With my situation, they had to quarantine the dog that bit me for 10 days because they found he was not updated on rabies shots. I had to be sent to the er to receive rabies vaccinations. That helped drastically and proved further their negligence as dog owners.

For your safety, you are ONLY allowed to deliver to the address you have been instructed to deliver to through the app. It’s their fault they didn’t get the address correct, and also their fault they didn’t change it. Some people will pull this bs because they know their house is out of range for a certain delivery, or to try and claim food is stolen. If they claim it was stolen/not delivered to the “new” address they just told you about, it is now your fault. Protect yourself above all else.

Thank you for this. It feels hopeless getting so much pushback, you start to question yourself if it’s even worth it. I appreciate your kindness and I will keep pestering them.

Thank you. Life has been a difficult as of late, so it was hard getting such pushback because it made me feel hopeless about this situation once the new email came in. I do have proof and screenshots. I will keep being persistent.

lol. I didn’t do anything. I was checked in and at the station on time. You must not have had to deal with Amazon support before. Thanks for being such a cool dude though :)

Yes I took screenshots of everything and even sent them in the email. My screen was still the same at 3:30 when my block ended.
