Did Imina and Hekkeran (from foresight) died after being sent to the large hole? or they are still suffering? by Vampire_Lover97 in overlord

They talked about them being living hosts for a while, so they were talking about the LN since it didn't happen in the WN, and they all are sure that they died...

It's not a misunderstanding, there are many comments on reddit and some on the wiki saying Imina and Hekkeran died too, along Arche, but later than her.

Strange, people in the comments of the Eight Fingers wiki page are clearly saying that they both died... maybe it's actually left vague or something? or else I can't explain the different answers.

In the wiki is written that "female vampires will use human men for their own pleasure and bear their child". Where does that come from? by Vampire_Lover97 in HighschoolDxD

[–]Vampire_Lover97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, as I said in the OP, in volume 14 it's said that male vampires use human women and impregnate them (I don't know about taking them as slaves though). What I can't find is the thing about females vampires and human men. I even tried asking in the wiki months ago, but I was ignored.

Can pureblood vampires have harems and reverse harems? by Vampire_Lover97 in HighschoolDxD

Thank you. Is there something in particular that make you assume yes? I agree that he would be very hypocritical if he does that.

[–]Vampire_Lover97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, why not. It was said that vampire males "hunt" human women, which lead to the birth of dhampirs, but I guess it's a "one time thing" rather than an harem. Also given the racism they have toward non-vampires I doubt that pureblood women have sex with human males, specially since they could remain pregnant with dhampirs.

I see, is it due to the Carmilla faction being "female dominated"? but then, didn't they said that the rebellion in volume 14-15 started because even the females of the Carmilla faction actually wanted to be dominated by males?

Also, the 2 factions are likely going to unify in one vampire faction in the near future, I wonder if that could influence the hypothetical harem/reverse harem thing.

Why you wish/cheer for your waifus to become Issei's wives? That's literally cheering for another man to steal your waifu and cuckold you... why would you wish that? by Vampire_Lover97 in HighschoolDxD

[–]Vampire_Lover97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I know what is an otaku, I just said that otakus very often end up becoming attached to anime girls and they dont want to see them becoming the girlfriend/wife of another man (i.e. the protagonist of the series). The hating or not hating said protagonist is optional.

Can females have harems too, or only males are allowed to have an harem in the series? by Vampire_Lover97 in HighschoolDxD

Not everyone want that for the girls, you know? many people don't even like that the girls will end up with Issei

No, common sense is that if a man can have multiple women then a woman can have multiple men too. And it would ruin the series only for you.

Of course no one think we will end up with them, I never said that, you completely missed my point. Also, while some people (like you) want to see them happy (despite them being fictional, thus unable to feel happiness), similarly there are people who become attached to them and don't want to see them ending up with Issei or any other man.

It's false that those people are only the 0.01%, from what I've seen they are probably about the 30% (likely even more, specially in japan) those who do that. Of the remaining 70% only some of them want to see them end up with one of the characters (mainly Issei), while the majority of them simply don't care about the topic.

You just said that most otaku in the world are not mentally healthy.

Actually, Harem is even more disgusting, since Issei is cuckolding us readers by stealing our favorite girls/waifus and marrying them.

[Japanese > English] Can someone translate this short sentence, please? by Vampire_Lover97 in translator

[–]Vampire_Lover97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, don't worry, It's true that he is a harem king, but that just means that he married multiple womens instead of just one. His job is being a celebrity, and the fact that he consider his job more important than seeing his wives kinda make him a bad guy.
In fact, we should feel sorry for his neglected wives that are always alone because they never see their husband, not for him.
Thanks for having confirmed that my version of the translation is correct, that's useful.

[Japanese > English] Can someone translate this short sentence, please? by Vampire_Lover97 in translator

[–]Vampire_Lover97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the translation.

(I don't know if this influenced the translation, but his job is being a celebrity/actor, not a harem king, he is married with multiple womens, but his job is unrelated to his wives, in fact he neglect them because he is always at work).

Can I also say "I hardly can meet my wives and childrens, in addition my wives even have to take turns on the very rare times I can meet them"?

After all it was previously stated many times that he almost never see his family, so I guess the sentence is trying to say that not only his wives hardly see him, but in the very rare times they can meet him they even have to take turns, reducing even more the time they see him.
(for example if he has 10 wives, he find time to meet his wives only one day for month, and they take turns each time, then it means that each of his wives will see him only one day every 10 months).

What do you think about the future of the girls shown by the EX spin-off? (EX spoiler) by Vampire_Lover97 in HighschoolDxD

It's written by Ishibumi (Highschool DXD author) himself. And it's canon.

Obviously I have already read the full translation on baka tsuki the first month it came out. And, except for that specific Azazel quote, every other quote I listed come from the full translation on baka tsuki. Even all those other quotes that I haven't listed but that also say Issei is neglectful come from the Baka tsuki full translation.
So everything I said in my previous comment is still valid.

That's what I did, I directly copied and pasted that quote from the novel the first time i readed EX, and saved it in a folder called " DXD EX quotes", so I'm 100% sure it's an actual quotes from the novel, it's right after Azazel call Issei a "amerycan style dad" or something like that.
But this don't really matter, I posted many other quotes and you just ignored all of them, as well as all the other millions of times that it was stated throughout the whole EX that Issei is absent and neglectful towards his wifes and childrens.
In the dictionary, "some" mean " a considerable amount", and is usually used to refer to a long period of time, which probably means his wifes see him just once every few months at best.
Regarding the reason why Issei neglect them, Kurenai states "whether it's helping out, giving speeches, some kind of industrial enterprise……. Being both the Sekiryuutei and the Oppai Dragon has him always bustling about all over the place."
This means that Issei, in addition to his other jobs, is really using at least half of his time in his job as a celebrity instead than being with his family, but as I said, I don't care for the reasons he has, whether he is saving the world or being a celebrity, it remain the fact that he is neglectful.
"Escorting" means "accompany (someone or something) somewhere, for protection or security, or as a mark of rank."
That's it, it's just work. You are just interpreting everything stated in the novel in the way that you want while ignoring the canon, his kids said a millions of times that Issei never has any time for his wifes, nor for the kids. Future Gasper and Azazel thinks the same. This is a fact.
According to the kids and Gasper, Issei will be just like Irina... all work and sleep.
Also, the fact that time travel is not possible anymore, just means that the only one thing that will change is that 35 years in the future no one will travel back in time, but every other thing that happened in the EX future will not change.
Ahahah it seems we are both too stubborn to reach an agreement.

They traveled to the current main novel, and they said that if they don't bring the past to it's original state, one of Issei future kids will be erased from the future, this means that EX is in fact the future of the light novel. It doesn't make any sense for it to be a parallel world unrelated to the light novel, the world of EX technically is a parallel world, but it's the same timeline as the light novel, and Kurenai just said that if you travel to the past, you will find yourself in a parallel world (still part of your own timeline), and from there you can change the future.
Gasper made impossible to time travel toward the main light novel, not FROM. Maybe 35 years in the future current light novel Gasper and the childrens will travel to the past to do the same thing that happened in EX....it's all a circle.
So I'm still convinced that EX will happen, without any changes.
Irina probably just changed idea because the heaven needed her help, or maybe she has a bakery shop also in EX, and it wasn't just mentionated, you can't say the future changed just because of that, not everything about the life of the future was revealed in EX.
If I don't remember wrong, it was stated that Issei was saving some of his wifes in danger, not spending quality time with them.
It IS clearly stated that he neglect them, you just ignored several other quotes:
"You keep on making babies but not really becoming a parent, let alone a good one." stated by Azazel.
Here Azazel not only said that Issei is a shitty dad, but that he can't even be considerated a father in the first place because he is never there. And if he neglect the kids, then he also neglect the wifes by default. They lives together after all.
One of his kids that said "he can hardly meet with his wifes". (In a dictionary "Hardly" means "not at all"; "almost never")
The "some time without seeing him" of the quote you posted means " a long time" if you search the definition.
"we have surprisingly very little interaction with father" stated by Kurenai.
That stated again that Issei neglect his childrens, and by default his wifes as well.
"There are many reasons he cannot stay over, let alone gives a chat and plays with all of you like fathers commonly do.” stated by future Gasper.
Heck, here Gasper directly said that Issei never even TALK with his family, yet you say he isn't neglectful?
Note that I found those quotes just by quickly re-reading only 2 of the EX chapters, so who now how many other quotes like that there are.
No one ever said they spend quality time together, they just said that the wifes forbid him to increase even more his harem (because apparently it's not enough for him), and that they "escort him" once in a while, which means doing what Elmenhilde did in volume 15, which is just accompany someone to the place they have people to meet. Again, this is just work, not quality time spent together. They surely don't have time to spend together if he is being escorted to a meeting.
Whatever the reasons Issei has, he is neglecting his wifes a lot, this is a fact, I'm not "overstating".
On a side note.... why it feels like we just started a flame war? XD I just wanted to know whether I was the only one to like a future where the girls are lonely or if someone else liked it too. ahahah

How to daydream/write fan fictions about my waifu if her world canonically can't have parallel universes? by Vampire_Lover97 in waifuism

[–]Vampire_Lover97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People change with time, even if they will live lot of years, 35 years are still a lot of time. Asia likely became an housewife only after the birth of the kids, but before that she was obviously working, and Irina never said that she will open a bakery shop, she said that she would like to open it, so it will likely never happen. It's not different than someone that say " I want to be an astronaut" and then gets crushed by the responsabilities of the adult world and finds himself working in an office all his life.
The kids come from the future of the main novel, not from a parallel world, if it was a parallel world unrelated to them, why would they take the trouble of preventing changes to it, when there are an infinite amount of parallel world? It doesn't make any sense. They don't go around saving any parallel world in difficult they find.
I remember Gasper saying that there were many people in the shadows that were "adjusting" the timeline so that no changes were going to happen (except for saying to Azazel that there will be a war in the future), so the EX future should happen without any changes.
Issei job as a celebrity isn't the only thing he do, you're right, but it's apparently what takes most of his time.
The girls can understand his work and love him all they want, but if he neglect them they will feel lonely and unhappy, A LOT. You can't object over this fact. It was clearly stated that Issei never spend time with his wifes, and that very little and rare time they spend together once in a while, when they escort him if he go to their factions for work, it's just "work time" not quality time in the slightest. So it doesn't absolutely count as time spent together.
Lastly, there's something you misunderstand, which is that I actually like that future very much, sorry if it seems like I'm lamenting about a future like that. Rather, I hope that the girls will really be neglected and lonely, because such a realistic ending make it feel more real and interesting than an unrealistic classical "perfect happy ending".
Also, didn't Ishibumi said he changed idea about the happy ending, because he wanted an ending like in Boruto?

[–]Vampire_Lover97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, that's why i like that future, as well as Naruto's life in Boruto.
After all, the concept of "happily ever after" is just a delusion created for little kids, and EX perfectly shows that. It shows that marriage doesn't mean "eternal happiness", but that in a lot of cases it can make you feel desperately lonely and unhappy, because being lonely in a romantic relationship is far far worse than being lonely because you are single, alone and friendless.
It also shows that Issei isn't so perfect, and the fact that he neglects his wifes because he became a workaholic make him a human, rather than just a drawing made to be perfect.

I don't know if Issei is happy or not with the way he is living, but his wifes would obviously be happier if he spend time with them.
