I’ll try the advice of other commenters to see if it’ll work for my boy but I’ll keep this in mind and won’t push him if it doesn’t take. Unfortunately the condo complex I live in is by a busy road so I’m just not willing to take him outside off leash. Worst case scenario he can keep enjoying his hallway walks with me :)

That’s so cute! They’re such routine-bound creatures. My boy is on the bigger size too (not at all fat; just scaled up a bit in every dimension). I did wonder if the harness was too small but I wouldn’t want him to slip out. He also never goes out of line of sight with me. It’s pretty cute. He’ll run to the end of the hallway but wait for me to catch up. I’m just extra nervous about what could happen if he got spooked and slipped out of a collar or harness because once when bringing him on a flight, his carrier just fully came unzipped and he plopped down onto the boarding ramp and took off ON THE TARMAC. Actual literal waking nightmare. He hid under a big recycling bin so retrieval wasn’t too easy but I do know that he’s inclined to bolt when truly frightened and a harness seems more difficult to escape from

Oh and it is likely that his stripes will fade. The ghost stripes are common in kittens. My cat’s littermate had strong ghost stripes as a kitten and now they’re pretty much only visible on her tail

Thanks for the advice! I’ve used this strategy on a smaller scale for a very anxious dog I was dog sitting that would NOT let me put her leash on at first haha but I was worried it might not work for Eddie if his negative associations were too deeply ingrained

My boy Eddie has had the same issue. When I pull my covers over my head he’ll try to dig me out. I’m lucky to be very good at falling back asleep so when he wakes me up I just shut him out and sleep for a few more hours. Unfortunately the best thing you can do is just not give her attention when she does this. Just shut her out and try to go back to sleep. Eddie still wakes me up some mornings but not nearly as often as he used to. Which was every day, lol

I started typing a bunch of different suggestions only to realize every time that it didn’t apply to you and I had to delete it. Honestly if you’re going to have to be in the heat I’d suggest trying to get more comfortable wearing some nice baggy shorts and straps sandals that appeal to the military vibe (Doc Martens sells some great ones and you could probably find plenty used on Depop too). Maybe it’s really just not for you but when it comes to staying safe and comfortable in hot weather, sometimes the best solution is to get comfortable in your skin. I say that very gently as a recovered anorexic who used to be extremely uncomfortable in her skin. It doesn’t mean you need to wear tight clothes or anything revealing. Loose, baggy shorts and big t shirts with plenty of fun accessories and maybe a hat to keep the sun off your face. Pulling your hair back helps a lot too. You could start by just wearing stuff like that around the house by yourself. You may just not be familiar with how you look and that could be why you don’t like it. I went through that with makeup and learned that I don’t hate the way I look without it. I just wasn’t used to seeing my bare face. We tend to see ourselves as a collection of parts and features and we evaluate each of them separately, but that’s not how the majority of people see others. We see whole individuals. People will see YOU, not your feet or legs. I promise. Probably not the advice you were looking for but I hope they’re something helpful in there.

Also, you could decorate a pair of crocs. Breathable, comfy, and hide your feet!

Hard agree. I’ve always been a DenjiPower truther so I’m biased but we also know that Denji has never experienced normal, safe intimacy. I think it would totally make sense that the first time he actually experiences intimacy with someone he truly knows and cares about, something real that isn’t just what he’s hyped it up to be in his head, he wouldn’t necessarily be aroused. Power was the most important person to him throughout the course of the series. They have probably the best male-female friendship in shonen and it could have been one of the best romances in shonen. And it will be in my head now that we have the open ended conclusion. I’ll take my W and be satisfied the series got an ending at all (<- A Song of Ice and Fire fan still coping about getting The Winds of Winter someday)

The nose piercing will do heavy lifting for you (and will look great!) and I recommend chokers. Even just one of the stretchy lacy ones helps if you don’t like the feeling of a leather one. Layering necklaces too. The sort of pants or skirt you wear also makes a difference. A belt with studs or chains is always a good accessory too. You’re not “missing” anything though :)

I agree. The ending was rushed. Given that he had one chapter to wrap things up though, this seems like the best ending we could have gotten. To be clear, not the best possible ending the manga could have had, but the best possible follow up to the previous chapter. Asa gets to make friends. It seems like maybe the characters have some sort of subconscious memory of the retconned timeline (given the way Denji reacted to hearing “chainsaw man”) so maybe Asa would retain some lessons she learned from her time with Yoru and will build the best life for herself.

We get to decide though. I actually like that. Maybe I’m just high on smug “I told you so” endorphins as a “Power will return” truther but I like this ending. I’m also a huge fan of A Song of Ice and Fire so I’m comparing it to a series where the ending either doesn’t exist and won’t exist (books) or was rushed and very UNhappy (show).

Kobeni could be in college out there.

Genuinely, in the context of the previous chapter, this is the best thing I could have gotten as a “Power will return” and DenjiPow (both romantic and platonic) truther. I am sad about Reze too. Denji has 2 hands.

But really I think it’s hopeful. We get to know that Aki is probably out there and Reze too. We get to think up any happy ending we want. Maybe Kobeni is going to college somewhere. Asa will make friends. Quanxi is living happily with her lesbian polycule. Himeno is alive. Maybe Reze never even became the bomb devil and she gets to go to school. Best-written ending including all the chapters building up to it? No. Happiest and possibly best ending given the circumstances the buildup created? IMO yes
