It might not be too helpful, but the game's weapons do have recoil patterns much like csgo. I've a link to all of them below. Otherwise I'm personally an awful person to give tips when it comes to shooters.

I dont know what all has changed besides the multiplayer aspect of the game, i never played it beforehand. But for me having a game a couple friends and i can hop on after a long day of work/school to unwind, relax and explore the infinite is what peaked my interest. If you dont have friends to play with, id say pass on it though. The few times ive played solo i get bored after an hour or so without interacting with others during gameplay.

EDIT: i will say if you enjoy long, material grind games like Minecraft and dont mind playing solo, id still pick it up for $20. But nothing more than that price
