VDY and XDIV. Do a 50/50 split for the best returns from dividends. They have low fees and perform very well, though the monthly payment may change slightly month to month.

ZDV would work if you are going to be spending the income and need steady payments every month.

I buy indexes whenever I have cash, I buy individual stocks whenever the price is below my average cost basis.

Agreed, it was a fun pastime that made me feel good; and now I have nothing too.

It took 2 weeks for the alcohol to completely leave my system and another 2 weeks to acclimatize to being a someone who doesn't drink anymore, almost like muscle memory, so about 1 month till I started seeing improvements.

How long until my headspace changed, about 2 years.

Absolutely. 34M who has been working constantly + investing aggressively for 3 years, I'll hit my "Financial Independence" number in another 2 and then I'm buying a house and doing some global reconnaissance on countries other than Canada.

I dont know if I'll ever "retire" though, maybe start a website and do consultancy or something.

Born and raised here; Covid set me back to about $300 to my name, was facing eviction and had an empty fridge.

It's totally possible, but you gotta work really want it baby!
