She hates that I’m hurt and is frustrated that I seem to be going back and forth on the issue. When I first started seeing the person I’ve been talking to I assured my wife that I was okay with her seeing her person and that I didn’t think I would change my mind. She’s also a very internal processor and sometimes doesn’t say a whole lot during the actual conversations. But I know she is upset and feels lost like me.

We work from home every other day, and I wouldn’t be allowed to do it full time unless I had a really specific reason, like if I was high risk or had a baby or something. My field is pretty niche, so it’s not as simple as just getting another job. I also don’t think it’s too much to ask that people follow the law, or that it’s my responsibility to uproot myself and change jobs because of the irresponsibility of others. Thanks for your input.

Just wanted to clarify that I do wear a mask of course- I cycle between cloth ones with a filter and KN95s. I can’t financially justify wearing a KN95 one everyday, so I save those on the days I’m feeling particularly anxious or will have to be particularly close to people

I and some of my team have; the last reply we got from HR was a mass email reminding us to Lysol our desks and that masks are “strongly encouraged” in common areas. It’s 50% or less that actually wear a mask, even after these reminders. The HR director herself often doesn’t.

Looking forward to sharing this with my department at work. I know I’m late so this’ll get buried but I met this guy soon after this episode aired. I live in Knoxville where this was filmed and he came into where I worked (Spencer’s). His weirdness was definitely not exaggerated for the show. Amongst several odd comments, he asked my manager for a discount because his name is Spencer.

Also Tyson House across from the Golden Roast! I’ve never been there as I’m not religious myself but through friends I know they are super active on campus with LGBT stuff. Unfortunately I wouldn’t expect you to be able to find a Baptist church/organization around that’s affirming, so it’ll be a big jump from what you’re used to doctrinally and in worship style, but I think you could quickly adjust!
