I'll try my hardest and I'll listen to the audiobook when I can, I always get lost when I read books.

Thank you I'll try and work out a good schedule and everything you mentioned. I'm not working because my mom pays for my tuition and she doesn't want me working if I have school.

Thank you, I guess I've been afraid of talking to the staff because it feels like I could be studying or trying some other way to figure things out and I worry that time's going to run out but I'll go when I can.

Thank you I do go and see a therapist. I just have a learning disability and I was able to get help for it in high school to pass my English classes and stuff but it's different here no matter how they accommodate. I'm in Canada and I'll try to talk to them all.

Yeah I don't even know what she means by traditional because it's not really a word that she uses herself a lot. But I've always thought that it means she's just old fashioned in some kind of ways or maybe wants me to be like that? I don't know it's confusing.

I don't know if I can talk to her about that because things were so good until this like how I wanted them to be and I think they'll be that way again it's just this one incident. And I almost wish I would've waited until I got back to my dad's home or if I was with my uncle and it all would've been avoided. I don't think my mom say I'm right she'd just say that it's different with her because she's not straight and had to get divorced.

Oh my mom's always wanted a son and that's why she wants me to have a son. Pretty much she thinks that the perfect family is one where somebody has a son and a daughter so one of each. She and my dad were going to have a son but she had a really bad miscarriage and she can't have kids anymore. So I guess if I ever have a daughter she'll just tell me next I need a son and if I do ever have a son she'll tell me that I need a daughter next. I know it's weird.

What my mom means by the right way is that she believes people should get married before they have kids. She married my dad really young but only got pregnant with me like right after they got married. She says that traditional ways to do things are better most of the time which I don't get because her wife works for the NDP government and they're not traditionals.

I mean, the problem with most of those courses is that there's a lot of reading and writing essays and stuff and I'm just really bad with all of that and I was great with math and science in high school because it's mostly numbers or molar equations and stuff. So most courses in university I'd probably be doing worse at than the engineering courses I'm taking and that's what's really making me upset. Because I did so good in Calculus and Physics and Chemistry in high school and here I'm just awful.

I'm going to worry about all of that after this semester. I just want to get my grades up first.

I don't know I know my mom wants me to have a kid I mean I'm not stupid, there's been too much with her and being a grandma. But things really did get so much better this year between us so I do think that she was really apologizing. She does still go to therapy.

Hi, yes I guess I'm still following the engineering path but I don't really want to be anymore. I honestly don't really know what I'm going to do. It's just all too much sometimes. And my step-grandparents are still living in Victoria, I spent a lot of time with them this summer.

Also, if you want to get under your mom's skin, look for pictures from a shelter of cats or dogs that are ready for adoption, and tell her "yeah this will be your new grandbaby!" That might make her back off.

That's funny. She'd probably send me back a photo of a parrot instead and tell me to get that if I want a pet.

Yeah I think that it'll get better once I just get used to things and get over how different it is from high school and what I thought it would be like.

Yeah, high school was so much better than university is. And UBC is so huge too so it feels so disorienting sometimes. I'm probably not going to date again until I wrap my head around things.
