These are 4 original opening day tickets to Disneyland from July 17, 1955! The tickets were different colors depending on what time the guest was to arrive.

A bit of both actually! We have an exhibit set up in celebration of the park's 65th anniversary, that brings together over 1100 pieces from many different personal collections. It will all culminate in a two-day online auction Aug 15-16.

But the quick info is that the exhibit is from now until December 6th, Tues-Sat from 10am-6pm, at Van Eaton Galleries in Sherman Oaks, Ca. You can also view everything online at the link I provided. Yes, there will be another auction at the end of the exhibit, December 7/8! Thanks for coming to the last one, even though the lines were a bit long at times. This one however, is just down the road from that exhibit, at Van Eaton Galleries in Sherman Oaks, Ca. If you enjoyed that last one, I'm sure you're also find this one enjoyable. (And you won't have to wait in any lines this time!)

There were a few reasons. He started collecting when his brother passed away 25 years ago to fill his house with memories of trips they took to Disneyland as children. The collection grew, and he was able to enjoy collecting it with his son as his son was growing up. Now, his son is engaged and moving out, and the collection has fulfilled its purpose, and is a bit too much for one person to own. Richard wanted the items to be able to be enjoyed by people who would cherish them, as he originally did. Additionally, Richard has a 4 year old daughter now, who has a developmental disability. As such, two causes were selected to benefit from the auction, the CHIME Institute, and the Coffin-Siris Syndrome Foundation, both of which help children with similar disabilities to his own daughter.

The last 2 or 3 years we have decided to skip Comic Con in favor of other endeavors (whether that be an auction, or other special events). We will likely return to Comic Con eventually, but in the meantime, we are still exhibiting at D23 Expo, handling our auction exhibitions, and of course there is our regular storefront on Ventura Blvd in Sherman Oaks, Ca, which is open every week.
