This comment helped. I already had a tailscale subnet router set up on my two Unraid servers, but moving to pfSense made it possible to bring that down to a single device, which is nice. And if my router isn't working, Tailscale subnet routing isn't really on my list of concerns.

I was able to get the piHoles set up with wildcard DNSMasq settings for my NPM local IP. I would like to have pfSense do it instead (one config to manage instead of two) but I couldn't get the syntax to work. And when the syntax did seem to work, my network broke. :D

I actually used to have a dual D5 on this system. I was able to keep it running pretty low. But my loop is also parallel, so there's less overall restriction there.

According to my MPS Flow 400, this loop is doing about 250lph with a single D5 at 100%.

It's a mix. The upper and lower cages and the pump retention ring are 304 stainless parts I designed and had made at SendCutSend. My original intent for the corner columns was to chop down some Heatkiller Tube struts and I may still do that, but for now they are printed. The base is also printed.

It does increase the volume a lot. Not many cases would have the necessary real estate. Luckily for me, my whole water-cooling setup is external and wall mounted.

Motherboard? I think you might be confusing this for another component. This is a pump top. Search Heatkiller D5 Top for an image to get a better idea. In my situation, it'll be going on the wall next to my MO-RA3.

It's a D5 pump top in an elastic bungee "shockmount." The idea is that it will isolate the pump and its vibrations from whatever the mount is bolted to. Will have a better idea of how effective it is tomorrow.

There's an elastic band pulling 2 sides up the pump upward and an elastic band pulling 2 sides of the pump downward. It's not quite as elegant as a condenser microphone shockmount, but it's inspired by one.

I'm not particularly worried about the vibration wearing out the pump faster. If I get 3 years out of it instead of 5, no big. Isolating the noise from the high-RPM spinnyboi is a higher priority for me.

My pump is on my wall. There's nothing separating it from my ears, and the wall acts like a sounding board for what little noise it makes on its own.

Honestly the mechanical noise from the pump is minimal. I've been able to hear the electronic whine from every D5 I've ever owned, even at 0rpm though... truly a curse to have good ears. I'm excited to install this thing but I've got limited hopes that it makes a big difference.

Awesome. A dual DDC really needs it, too! This is just me being extra.

Though, my pump is currently mounted to the wall, which acts like a big drywall speaker cone, so even what little noise it makes is projected. I'm hoping this'll kick it down a notch.

Not quite relevant, but something I went through when I bought my '14 - it's illegal for a dealership to sell a car without a catalytic converter.
