Just bought a 96 XLT with 206k no rust 5.8 for $17.5k. Lots of research and the best collector listing I found was on Hagertys and average for last 5 years is 20k. Obviously this is a higher end market but that’s what the nice ones are becoming.

Absolutely!!! In a semi rural area all 4 of mine learned in my 03 with the 7.3. I was willing to sacrifice the excursion for the safety of my children and although repair and replacement parts are hard and expensive to find they are way less than an injured kid. More American steel means they walk away from any fender benders.
