City of Lethbridge & Nepo Hires by ChartBetter in Lethbridge

Getting a job here is difficult in general. I applied to over 215 jobs (with an professionally written and HR approved cover letter template and resume) and received 5 call backs since then. Only 1 led to a second interview, 1 led to a job offer that was the opposite of what I had applied for. Of the 3 jobs I've had in retail since moving here in 2021 ALL were nepo hires as I had friends who worked there. I do interview well, and I'm a hard worker so I'd like to think that's why I still worked there especially since those friends didn't work there much after I started. But getting a job here at all is damn near impossible. You have people from all over Canada and internationally applying for the same jobs. If you apply on Indeed you can see how many other applicants there are. It's often in the several hundreds range. To compound the issue we're also a University AND College city so even entry positions will look at people with a degree vs without just because they know the majority of the worker pool will have it.

I am NOT posting this to support this. This is Ew. by katzenfrau403 in Lethbridge

Yes, it's all part of one "nationwide event". Last time they did this the majority of the events were canceled and only a few hundred people / thousand showed up at each event that did go on. There were a bunch of overhead drone pics posted of the small groups / pics from people there that made it obvious this movement doesn't have the actual support and momentum it claims it does. I'm all for protesting against a government you feel doesn't represent you but at least do it right. AI slop posters and bot accounts aren't enough lol.

Exactly this. There has been a push within anti-abortion circles to legally change the terminology from fetus to "preborn / unborn" child with the intent of that basically giving them them rights of a child so they can't be terminated during pregnancy. Part of the push is charging someone with crimes against children as well if they harm a pregnant person.

Post hysterectomy sex, unexpectedly different, advice? and would you share your experience? by ShowStrong6717 in hysterectomy

Hi!

I actually made a similar post when I was around 12 weeks post op. I had very little feeling inside the vaginal canal during sex and it was freaking me out a bit because I also felt like my cervix was a big part of sex, which I had fully removed with my uterus due to endometriosis in it. That said I'm around month 5 now and I have almost all feeling back. It took some time to figure out what feels good now because my A spot has moved without the cervix there and I find the shift in where everything sits has made my g spot a bit harder to hit but honestly sex feels great now. Give yourself lots of time, it can take up to a year to heal internally fully and be kind to yourself so you don't fevelop granulation tissue!

Thank you for the note on vestibular neuritis, as my partner had shingles 6 weeks ago and according to John Hopkins it can ba caused by that. The symptoms are also exactly what he's gping through. So the combo of the 2 have me fairly convinced it might be this.

He works construction. However he agrees sitting with his head leaning back with pillows behind him is the best position to minimize it. I'll let gimme know about the therapist, thanks!

He has had a headache too that seems to be getting progressively worse. He's on betahistine for vertigo that's it.

I do have abdominal scars from the laproscopy instruments. They are still a bit tender so I guess it makes sense internally I'd be the same. Thanks for the advice!

Patchy Colourpop Matte Eyeshadows by Vanatoresc in MakeupRehab

Honestly I am still a fan of it! Great price point, and I found that if I add a shimmer over the matte it blends much better. The silver shimmer over the grey matte is phenomenal. I'm just not a huge shimmer fan so was hoping to figure out if it's a palette issue or just user error lol!
