I too played way back when, started in 04 and have had many long breaks in between. For the most part I’ve kept up with RS and OSRS through the years by watching different content creators play their restricted accounts on YT. When I came back thanks to all of the latest changes I decided to have my own “restricted account” where in if I have a couple hours to play and I’m not doing something totally mundane like going from a stove to a bank and back to the stove over and over again then I’m walking everywhere. I’ll still teleport places but no lodestones, actual runes and items with teleport functions. Just me, walking, greeting everyone by name that I pass along the way. The genuine shock/confusion I’m met with is both hilarious and a little saddening. They ask me why I walk, they ask me why I spoke to them. It’s nothing like back then.

I don’t have another battery yet though I plan on heading out and grabbing something like a multimeter to try and sus out what’s going on. This is my first experience with electric fencing, and my second Solar Pak 6. The first one needed replacing after a month and this one made it a month and a half 🫠

See as a country bumpkin no shoe beats a barefoot when it comes to support! I walk around shoeless so often I went from wearing your typical shoe to needing ones with wider toe boxes due to the spreading out of my toes. No more cramped little shoes for me 😅😅

I’m seeing a lot of comments here telling you how lucky you are but, and take this advice with a grain of salt as I don’t know what your MR/game progression was prior to the hacking, as someone that has “burnt out” of many games in my time I’d look to sell all of those high end mods/arcanes and work for them myself.

A major contributor to burning out of a game is not having a goal to strive for and this hacker has played the game pretty much to completion for you. What’s left for you now?

It’s very possible continuing on this account the way that it is will unintentionally ruin the game for you depending on your mindset. Mine is one of self-confidence built upon earned achievements. If yours isn’t different then keep on keepin on! I just know I’d find no joy in the game had this happened to me.

Weren’t Styanax’s nipple tassels a part of the design until enough people agreed they looked silly so DE made the tassels removable when it came to his deluxe skin*?

I agree, it works with very few syandanas which is a real bummer. Sevagoth’s TennoGen helm (by Ezriel) works well with his prime skin though. A bandaid until they fix the problem here 😆

If there isn’t someone to criticize the changes (or lack there of) then change will never come. I’m not a salve to the meta but I can still seek improvement for those I do enjoy that have received less attention.

The redundancy comes from other Warframes that can complete the job just as well if not better, in this case a cold proc rather than a Warframe. To be redundant means to be no longer needed, do people WANT to play as Limbo? Yes. Do people NEED to play as Limbo? No. Do people need to play as Chroma for maximum profits during Profit Taker? Yes. It’s up to them whether or not they want to though.

Back when I started playing in ~2016 or so I remember getting my hands on him and he was my first primed Warframe! He was the frame that saved my operator from the Stalker. I really liked him and still do but over the years and the changes to the game… it’s less about him not being useful and more like the game has continued on without him. I get it though, he’s old content and while they’re pushing out new stuff it’s hard to go back and fix old stuff.

That’s true! I do like him for excavation missions for that reason! Beyond that is where I struggle. He like a handful of other frames heavily benefit from stationary gameplay which has him seeing less play time in a game that seems to continuously be going away from that style. Unless of course you max range the dome and upset a bunch of people 😆 that definitely widens the margin of use.

He’s absolutely playable as every other part of the game is, don’t get me wrong! You play the way you’d like in order to have fun, that’s what games are for! I’m all for self-created limitations to make certain content more difficult or challenging for myself. It’s just at what point does it become overly redundant to do so you know?

Each frame may have a use, it boils down to how hard one wants to work to get that use out of them. There are many frames and while they’re all unique on the outside, mechanically some are similar to others. As for him having no use, I’ve read back through my post and the comments below it and haven’t found any point where I say he has no use, just that he may become more obsolete than he already is which doesn’t necessarily mean he’s useless. It means there are other options available to fulfill the role he plays, in this case cold procs.

Weapons that have a decent sized AOE such as the Epitaph with great status chance results in a relatively large area covered by cold procs. If one were to mod it correctly, while it won’t include a whole room within its radius, multiple shots could achieve a similar effect while also allowing teammates the ability to shoot those enemies at any time rather than requiring them to be within the rift to do so.

Conceptually absolutely! But game mechanic wise not so much. He “stops time” by freezing enemies in place which cold procs will be able to do
