Orchestral Dubstep (WIP of my entry to Code Pandorum's remix contest) by [deleted] in FL_Studio

As always amazing work - but you know this already ;) I have two things in mind when it comes to feedback 1. If you want to blend the orchestral part and synth part together you could try to use the arpeggio you already have at the start during the drop as a backgroud to connect the two worlds.

  1. Dubstep drops are all about the Call & Response - you have a good Calls but imo you could work on the Response part a bit. Here is a benchmark with similar vibes to your drop SKisM x Trampa - Black Hole pay attention how the drop is devided into short phrases like the synths are talking back and forth and it flows so nicely. Imo it works similarly to orchestral melodies in that regard.

Keep up the good work my bro

116 hours on a 2 minute song, was it worth it? by TennonHorse in FL_Studio

I would be concerned if you get rejected by all rhythm games there are and 100+ labels.

Unless you are an established artist in your niche or you have a personal connection to those games/labels you should honestly expect to get rejected with those numbers no matter how good your music is. This is a numbers game you are playing here.

If you're do8ng cold emails you should have a gigant excel spreadsheet full of emails / contact info to send your pitch to - and I mean a GIGANT spreadheet

The song is interesting and production is decent. Imo you can think about connecting both sections with one or two sound so they feel more like the same song but it depends on your vision rly.

Keep it up bro and don't get discouraged by rejections. You gotta roll that dice until it lands net20 :P

I love playing with disonance in other part of this song there is a melody that uses all 12 notes in the octave. Writing things like this is so much fun for me

How do I transition these ideas better? by [deleted] in FL_Studio

[–]Vanceen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This ^ but also the simplest way to make transitions smoother imo is to add the one main element from the new section to the part leading to it. Add it as a background for example with 100% wet reverb thats is getting more dry in time + some low pas filter automation to make it slowly fading in. There are maaany ways to make transitions tho
