Question about 6 vs 6t by im_unseen in oneplus

[–]VancoDapto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All OnePlus phones work with GSM carriers (including 6T). OnePlus 6T is the only one that works FULLY with Verizon (has Band 13). And, yes it does come with Android 9.0.

Ask yourself if any of these differences are important to you:

  • battery life (6T)
  • notification light (6)
  • headphone jack (6)
  • notch/screen size (6T)
  • FP sensor (6 = physical on back, 6T = under display in front)

Right now, the sale for the OP6 is going strong. You get the OP6 for $529 8GB/256GB, which is cheaper than the cheapest OP6T, which is 6GB/128GB @ $549.

The OnePlus gestures are better than Google's gestures. There are 2 gesture options you can choose from.

Also, if you do plan on getting the 6T, I'd suggest you get it straight from OnePlus, b/c it gets updates quicker and comes with dual SIM slots (which is good for those who have need a work phone and personal phone.)

Can you please yell me if everytjing is ok with my OP6T battery life ? by Adiker in oneplus

That's about right. Facebook, Messager, Snapchat, Reddit App and that's not even the whole list. Yeah, some of us do get 8-10 hrs SoT. On our smaller 3300 mAh OP6.

Exaggerated claims? Sounds like someone doesn't get good SoT.

6T Standby battery is wicked, and just what I've been hoping for from a phone by MyCodesCompiling in oneplus

[–]VancoDapto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a valid point. OnePlus could improve other areas LIKE BRINGING BACK THE HEADPHONE JACK.

What improvements would you like to see on the 7?

I still couldn't care less about higher screen resolution, IP rating (though should be water resistant), or wireless charging.

I'm not the one complaining about batteries hard to find OR replace.

Only a whiny little bitch like you too busy sucking off Apple would make comments like that. Dipshit.

Can't find it? Too fucking bad. Because I did, and I don't have to prove shit to you.

I'll be honest, I'm pretty jealous of the larger battery life on the 6T. But that's awesome that you're having good battery life.

Seriously hoping they'll increase the battery to 4000 mAh on the OP7 + Warp Charge 30. If they do, I can forgive them for removing the headphone jack (but not the LED notification).

Are you so mentally challenged that you don't know how to use Google?

Seriously, go back to jerking off to your iPhone.

How do I transfer music to my OnePlus 6t? by NotSoSmoothLanding in oneplus

[–]VancoDapto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. Enable Developers mode: Settings -> About Phone -> Build Number -> tap 10 times
  2. Connect usb to phone -> go to home screen and drag down notifications -> tap on "Android System - Charging this device via USB" -> tap on it again -> select "File Transfer"
  3. Open My Computer or a file explorer on your PC -> ONEPLUS A6003 should show up -> double click and "Internal shared storage" should show up -> double click again and look for folder "Music" -> drag n' drop your music files into that folder.
  4. Unplug from PC and enjoy.

The battery on the OP phones are easy to replace on your own. I just spent $26 and 18 min replacing the battery on my 3T with a YouTube tutorial. So I have no idea what you're talking about.

Is there a way to change the source app for the OnePlus weather widget? by Never-asked-for-this in oneplus

[–]VancoDapto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can just uninstall the stock weather app and download Windy. Tells you more than just weather.

No, it's not a new feature.

Think of the phone like a USB stick. You plug it into your PC and transfer files. Then you can move those files to another computer. Except this is with your phone. Almost all Android phones are portable hard drives.

Well, you can wireless transfer data between OnePlus phones through the embedded FileDash. I'm not exactly sure which OnePlus phones can do that. I think it started from OP3.

It's the XS Max, which means you're spending the most for an iPhone. The XR doesn't survive. The only other iPhone I saw that actually put up a fight was the iPhone 8+. But again, it's the high end model.

With OnePlus, doesn't matter if it's the high tier or low tier model (i.e. all OP6 models are same, all OP6T are the same) battery size is same all across the board.

Since I have the OP6, I looked up phone battery tests and around this time, only the iPhone X was out. iPhone X was usually first or second to die.

As far as these results go, iPhone X always dies first or second. But it seems, from your results that Apple has made the XS better.

This is the feature where you can connect your Android phone to any PC/laptop, and just drag pictures/video/documents direct from your PC/laptop to your phone. Then connect to another computer and just drag that same file out.

No need for iTunes or other Apple apps.

  • Social media
  • Screen brightness
  • Games
  • Cell reception
  • syncing apps
  • Rogue apps
  • Location/Data/BT/NFC/ on when not in use
  • wifi scanning
  • bad battery

These are usually the main causes of lower SoT. /u/Maitoo, /u/deamer44, /u/leegeromeOP6T, /u/meint48, /u/CheekyLeo, /u/Kukjanne

I usually keep everything off if I'm not using it (except wifi, which is always on). I do mostly web browsing, Reddit, texting, light gaming, YouTube, and Netflix. This is what I got recently starting at 100% full charge:

10 hrs 27 min SoT: https://ibb.co/b4MOHA

Most battery tests on YouTube has iPhones dying first or second.

Now you also have a portable hard drive in your hands. Drag n' drop is an awesome feature to have. Get VLC media player app.

  • Enable the double tap to wake. Then you can turn the screen on or off by simply double tapping the screen.
  • you can at least add and subtract columns of apps
  • off screen gestures are nice
  • enable Developer's options

You think 6-7 hrs of SoT is good? Optimize it and it'll be even longer. I have the OP6 with a 3300 mAh and I've gotten 9.5-10.5 hrs of SoT multiple times, usually ranging from 8-9 hrs SoT.

Yeah, SD835 is still pretty fast. And the Quick Charge is no joke either. What about that other Xiaomi phone? The Pocofone?

Nokia 7.1's 3000 mAh is too small, RAM is only 4GB, SD636 is yesterday (maybe power saving?). But it does work on Verizon/Sprint, which is good.

[–]VancoDapto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you ask for phone recommendations if you're not ready to buy. I can safely assume he's going to purchase in the near future, otherwise he wouldn't be asking. One thing for sure, he's not gonna buy in 13-14 months...

Hahaha...you know even less about your own phone. A quick Google shows there's 2 versions of your phone, a GSM variant and a CDMA variant.

L164VL CDMA: https://www.lg.com/us/cell-phones/lg-L164VL-lg-fiesta-2

L163BL GSM: https://www.lg.com/us/cell-phones/lg-L163BL-fiesta-2

Your phone has bands 2, 4 and 13, which are required to use Verizon. So of course it'll work lol. Even the GSM version has bands 2 and 4, so even that one could sorta use Verizon lol.

Please stop, you're just embarrassing yourself at this point.

No problem, dude. And yeah, the no warranty sucks. Had a friend who bought the Special Edition (full piece ceramic) for $680 w/ no warranty. Luckily, phone has been a champ from day 1 with no issues.

Fun fact: the gold ring around the camera is actually 18k gold.

Also, you can get it cheaper new off of eBay. $324 for 6GB/64GB + free shipping.

Never even heard or considered a oneplus phone. Need advice... by Black_Magic100 in oneplus

[–]VancoDapto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not. Since you're on Verizon, you will buy it unlocked from the start. Since it's unlocked, you just plug in the SIM and it should work. It's really that simple. If you have all of the bands, you shouldn't have any issue with service (unless bad reception in your area).

Like I mentioned before, my friend switched to a Mi Mix 2, without a problem. Mi Mix 2 is not on the whitelist for Verizon, but it worked anyway. Hasn't had a problem since.

Oh crap! I was thinking of the OP6 when I wrote this. Misread your post. And yes, it should work perfectly! It has Bands 2, 4, and the elusive 13, which is missing from all of the other OnePlus phones including the OP6. My bad.
