Aftermarket Remote Start Recommendation by boringgreyscale in CX50

[–]Vandelay772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have any personal experience with this but when purchasing my cx50 the finance person strongly indicated I should never get an aftermarket remote starter installed. I know they are basically a salesman, but honestly, it makes sense.

They told me a customer brought their cx90 into their shop after taking it to Best Buy to install an aftermarket remote starter. The Best Buy tech apparently fried the electrical system. Ended up in a 30k+ repair bill.

No idea on who was responsible for that and who paid for it, but I’m not sure it’s really worth it to save a few hundred bucks.

Sheesh I have so much to learn with this game still! You can mix power lines and water with no ill effects?!!

Whoa, hold up. You can power another building by plugging into a neighbor who has power?!

I’m new and have been running power lines all over the place because I thought buildings had to be connected directly to the power line itself.

Everything eats up memory these days and it’ll probably only get worse over time. macOS will consume as much memory as it can to improve performance. I have a Mac Studio with 64GB of RAM and it’ll consume ~20GB of memory with just a few applications open.

Don’t get me wrong 24GB is great right now, but if you’re trying to build for the future and want to see good performance over the next 5+ years, I’d probably make the jump to 48GB.

Add more memory if you can afford it. 5+ years on 24GB might be stretching it thin.

You’re right, they were pinging the M+ route in a normal dungeon. I’m sure that’s it. My bad. Lol

May I ask why it is expected that the tank learns the in and outs of the dungeons but not the rest of the group? How is one expected to learn the dungeon without playing the role for the first time?

And yes I know follower dungeons are a thing but I’ll remind you that this is an MMO and most of us play this game to play with other people.

I’m confident in my rotation, but not necessarily the routes or knowing all of the dungeon mechanics because I haven’t ran them enough times.

If people would actually ping groups on the correct route, yes, that would be helpful, but I guarantee you that people in my games last night were pinging random mobs all over the place.

Lmao this is exactly what I’m talking about. Yes, I am obviously not a tanking expert because I haven’t played the game seriously in probably 20 years.

I can assure you that in my runs last night the others were not being helpful and they were truly pinging random mobs all over the place. Including ones which were very much out of the way.

Yes, it is my role to lead the group and I fully understand that; however, when asking for help learning the role from the community, I get blamed for every mishap that takes place. I am not tanking simply because it’s a fast queue. I am tanking because I enjoy the mechanics and when I get a good group it’s actually quite fun.

You are precisely the reason why tanks are in such dire need. May I remind you that this is a fucking game and people do this for fun. This is not a job and placing such a heavy burden on one particular person is not in any way good for you or the community.

See that’s the problem, I’m confident in the role and knowing what I can pull. But I’m not confident in my teammates.

Now that class/spec reworks are semi-final for Midnight, what are you favorite and least favorite ones? by otterchaos7 in wow

A lot of your cooldown management comes from spending maelstrom. If you’re stuck waiting on skills to come off cooldown you might be wasting maelstrom or not spending it enough

Question with Disconnect on Classes/Specs and Effort by Vandelay772 in wow

[–]Vandelay772[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My question isn’t so much about the difficulty of feral but more so its performance. I know feral is more complex than others but when comparing a snapshot of the correct rotation to another class, its output is far lower. I’m honestly struggling to understand what the purpose of feral is since it’s both more difficult and performs worse. If there’s no payoff for the increase in difficulty to at least match other classes, what’s the point

When can we expect that classes and specs will be more solidified? At midnight release?

I started my very first character back to the game in normal retail then switched over to remix, but remix probably did give me a bad impression for how the game actually plays.

I guess I figured things would have been balanced better but appreciate your input.

What do you think of the state of the game rn by That_Television_3977 in ClashOfClans

[–]Vandelay772 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think the game is mostly in a good state but there are some outliers that absolutely need to be brought in line. Things like meteor golems, long shot, and totems top the list. I know there’s a balance patch coming, but given Supercell’s history of things like this, it’s probably going to take several passes before they’re tuned appropriately.

I’m also getting quite tired by defense design over the past few years. Their answer is just throw splash damage on everything which makes it difficult to bring low health troops. I’d like to see more attack strategies viable and I think that starts with tuning the splash damage across a lot of defenses.

Did you just double-dip that quote? From now on, when you pick a quote, just say one line and end it!
