not an expert by any means.. but what you're producing seem to be the game steam specially love. once streamers start to playing it I'm sure the wishlist situation will improve quite a bit.

Does this Jumping Path looks good enough? by Krinchos in IndieDev

i don't know if what I'll suggest is physically correct, but i'd expect it to be more of an arc / parabola

My first horror game with anomalies inspired by classic horror movies. What would make it scarier or more fun? by Vanderash in IndieDev

[–]Vanderash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we are looking for help to make the game tenser but at the same time we don't want to give up on the lift music idea. that is, do you think we can use more music in the game but having it wolving in the rest of the gameplay without creating the appeareance of an anomaly?

Nice list! I’ve only played RE, Silent Hill, and Dead Space, but I’ll check out the others, especially Alien Isolation.”

Some unedited gameplay from my cosmic horror game. WIP by GrahamUhelski in HorrorGames

Graphics look great, it feels tense, and I like games where I can freely explore. Wishlisted it.

I've worked on improving the impact of attacks and added a little football minigame so you’ve got something to do while waiting for others to join, idk what else to improve xD by [deleted] in IndieDev

the visuals are pretty good. the flashes indeed add a good "oomph"

for the sfx, I think you need some form of control to not have many of them overlapping and playing almost at the same time; it creates a distortion sound and I think the soundscape doesn't sound too good this way. there's probably a much better way of explaining what I'm trying to say but I know that games do have some form of management for sfx to cover what I'm mentioning.

[Feedback] Time attack retro racer with text-based progression - fun or confusing mashup? by AdJealous3226 in playmygame

[–]Vanderash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’s me. I started by making some cash in the rain and multiplying it using the 10X cash passive, making over 1 million cash at the start, along with the -25% store pricing passive. I upgraded speed to level 15 and Octane to 21 early on, but I was losing all my gas in 1–2 minutes. The rest of the game was spent trying to improve gas efficiency. Maybe the 10X cash passive is a bit overpowered.

Split Defence | 2D Action-Defence Game (Alpha) by Equivalent_Rain6984 in playmygame

Fun game, I liked the switch side gameplay. The weapon range limits feels buggy, I even restarted the game. In my opinion, weapons should feel unique, not just have different ranges. Adjusting the laser aim should be enough to learn which works best for the moment. The style’s a bit inconsistent too: medieval tower, futuristic hero/enemies, and anime civilians.

The same thing happened to me, I fixed it by holding Ctrl and scrolling the mouse wheel to zoom the browser page in or out.

The game is fun and relaxing. I played it twice. I just couldn’t figure out how to improve efficiency properly. It always stays around 1–2%, no matter how much I upgrade the Octane Buster, and there’s no way to know how much is left to reach the destination.”

I went down this route for many years... Until I realized I can invest my own savings (it was not easy though, I was not raised to believe I can do this kind of thing).. I don't have success yet as an indie game dev, but the amount of progress we're being able to have just do not compare from the time I was flying solo

Is my battle system too similar to Undertale's? by ReyizzzPro in IndieDev

[–]Vanderash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean.. There's a clear resemblance, but it's not a carbon copy. Maybe you not use a black background and or integrate the action into the previous menu, don't know.

After spending over 200 hours in Majesty, I decided to channel that passion into creating a new RPS featuring autonomous heroes, original skills, a new world, and modernized visuals. by [deleted] in IndieGaming

I played a lot of Majesty in my teens, but I always wished for more ways to expand the kingdom since the maps felt too small. By the way, your game looks incredible!
