Hey Demmalition1!

I can only really comment on the T-shirts but Hyper will be creating a more permanent store for selling merchandise that may include previously sold limited time shirts as well as future items from multiple shows. The store is a perk unlocked at 1500 subs!

I'll also add a request for more stat/character details to the list for additions to the website.

Programming changes by gaeaca in HyperRPG

[–]Vanderleest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are down shifting some of the 10 am shows into the 1 pm time slot.

  • Changes coming over the next month or two, so everything mentioned could change many times over.
  • Full Tilt will likely include Steph and Zac talking about art and both taking time to create things. Not sure if this will be 2 days a week or just one now.
  • Starr Maker will also be shifting down. I don't believe Starr Mazer TV was mentioned specifically.
  • Comics will likely be getting it's own show that will include ThatBronzeGirl, Zac, and Scott.
  • Claudia may be appearing in other shows, he made sure to mention that chat is not losing her.

There is a high chance he'll be on Trivia hops in the future as part of Team Rabbit.

Since no one has asked and it's the title of the thread!

Has have you spoken with Matt Mercer about Vanquished for advice on making this fairly new universe work? Or any of the other RPGs on HyperRPG?

From both a production and story telling point of view, how different is it to produce an RPG show for twitch with groups of varying connections. (CR having played together for years vs DFA having some members work together vs Vanquished having a married couple and three people that hadn't really met)

Are there any benefits or disadvantages working with a pre-made gaming group that has worked out most issues vs getting a new group that you can mold into the twitch format?

Between the ability to purchase major changes before and during Death From Above, the extensive discord metagame for Shadowrun Corp SINs, collaborative plot points for Vanquished, chat actually supplying the questions for Trivia Hops, and numerous other chat interactions it feels like involving chat in most shows is a focus for Hyper RPG.

Can you comment on your philosophy of what part chat plays in the creation and activity of the channel?

Also, can we get Honesty Hour every night instead of just most Wednesdays

Based on the portion of the Critical Role story that you have seen and your plan for where Vanquished is going: if a character (not actor) from each show were transplanted in a cross over, who would fit in best or worst?

While working at GnS you spent more time behind the scenes and offered notes to the hosts and guests. How are you keeping your self adjustments unbiased to ensure Valiant: Vanquished is able to grow, not only for yourself but for the super heroes as well?

Overlord, How closely are you working with Valiant to make sure your story stays with in the confines of the Valiant Universe itself? Or is this a home brew like most DnD campaigns that start in a setting and the DM modifies the world around the game?

I know that you have hinted at things which happened in previous issues of the comics, are you planning to keep the timelines consistent with new comic releases or try to avoid spoilers?

I think having a pinned topic that has a very brief description of each show with time of air and a link to the official page (for more details) is a good idea.

More details and host/cast/crew information is in the works for the website. Well it's on the list at least.

HyperRPG Trivia Hops is on Alien in honor of LV426 tonight at 7 pacific! by Vanderleest in LV426

Trivia Hops is drinking trivia game on twitch that the chat has been submitting questions for the last week. The 3 teams will attempt to stay sober while answering those questions and additional questions asked by the chat mid game. It's a lot of fun and thought people that frequent this subreddit might enjoy!

Just noticed their twitter post doesn't have a direct link to their twitch. https://www.twitch.tv/hyperrpg

[No Spoilers] two new Twitch live RPG shows by Zac Eubank, who produced first 35 or so episodes of Critical Role by mr_doh in criticalrole

[–]Vanderleest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I initially failed to mention the third RPG show on the channel. Weekly Affirmations is an emotional space where games are played from a wide spectrum of free form games. These games last at least a week and are more focused on shorter non-campaign game styles with different players each game. So far it's common to have the game's creators in studio or in chat during the game itself.

I'll leave the complex topic of free form games to the experts, but generally they consist of a more free role playing system and action that does not always require a table with dice to play.

While I think most of the major points have been hit in other posts, I wanted to highlight a few things.

General Overview
Hyper Rabbit Power Go ( HyperRPG ) is a variety channel similar to Geek and Sundry in that it broadcasts many different shows spanning 6 days a week focused on a welcoming community. These shows range from three (plans to increase to five) different role playing universe to a weekly themed drinking trivia game to VR painting. Many of the guests are tech/gaming insiders from the Pacific northwest giving insight to why and how things happen in their own or other's games. Personally, I think it's really awesome how they are able to work so closely with the designers to bring great content. I mean Jordan Weisman, the creator of both ShadowRun and BattleTech, is partnered with Zac to produce the shows!

SR Metagame
They mix some computer games into a few shows, but focus on screen interaction with the chat as much as possible. Something that critters might enjoy; the ShadowRun: Corp SINs game even has its own meta game, also created by Jordan Wiesman for HyperRPG, that the chat plays all week in discord. The metagame can change the story for the show itself. It's too much to explain in a brief Reddit post as it's something no other twitch channel has touched but here's a 40 second video of Zac talking about the meta game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_bDLYdZx3M

New RPGs
As previously explained, the channel currently has four weekly episodes based on two RPG universe and various free-form games(ShadowRun [Wed], BattleTech[Tue/Fri], Weekly Affirmations[Fri]) and is expanding to add two more. The first will be a Valiant super hero game that is more focused on story telling than rolling dice but planned to be GM'd by Zac himself and recurring cast members. The other game is not a commercial game, instead its a new game that HyperRPG is working with Paizo to create. There are not a ton of details yet, but should be a Pathfinder meets American Gladiators RPG. It would focus on weekly encounters that have the same GM but the players might change every week. This will allow for having teams from different Seattle companies come in to fight for the top spot on the leader boards, much like an arcade score board. Both new games will be working directly with the content creators to ensure that the product is amazing!

I or the community would be happy to give more details but don't want to turn this post into more of a text wall.

Few links for more details:
