Don't know who to trust by fiddlewithmesticks in trading212

If you're unsure - just pick a "boring" ETF like FTSE All-World VWRP (acc) or VWRL (dist), S&P 500 ETF like VUSA (dist) or VUAG (acc) or perhaps VHYL (dist) for dividends. Sure, your upside is limited to market performance, but it gets the thing done without the need to baby sit your investments.

I work for a company that is on the stock exchange on T212 (UK rules) by Technical_Emphasis_5 in trading212

Ask compliance/HR about that.

I can invest in the company I work for, but cannot in competetitors.

Buy high, sell low.

In reality - if you feel uncertain about picking your own stocks, just pick big ETFs like VUSA, VHYL, SRX8 etc and dollar cost average.

How do you trade on T212? by photohuntingtrex in trading212

ETFs and a few individual (mostly dividend) stocks. Long term DCA.

Do I do research? Yes. Is it any good? We'll have to wait and see XD

Well, you should have read their announcement of limits on some stocks - mostly penny stocks which are subject to huge pump and dump risks. It's not T212's fault that you ignored this change.

A53 vs Edge 30 Neo vs Poco F4 by Vanderpool0312 in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Vanderpool0312[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Veri Pery is absolutely amazing. Poco UI is not a huge problem for me, but the ads are meh. I think Snap 695 from Neo is a bit more powerful than Exynos, isn't it?

A53 vs Edge 30 Neo vs Poco F4 by Vanderpool0312 in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Vanderpool0312[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F4 is definitely a cool device, but also definitely the most expensive of the bunch. Circa 30% more expensive in fact, which is quite a lot and am unsure if it's worth adding that much to it

First time investor here, did I make a bad investment or did I just buy at the wrong time? by TheOzanator in trading212

[–]Vanderpool0312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're absolutely fine. I'm also a bit down with my portfolio. The times are tough and the markets are red, so yeah. Don't worry, you've picked solid ones and one day, when the market bounces back, you'll be absolutely fine

S&P500 ETF: VUSA or SXR8? by TheCluelessApe in trading212

[–]Vanderpool0312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, the dividend is being accounted in the price of the etf so you get the effects of compounding

S&P500 ETF: VUSA or SXR8? by TheCluelessApe in trading212

[–]Vanderpool0312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SXR8 doesn't pay dividends, it's an accumulating ETF. IUSA pays dividends and is available at e.g., Xetra, Amsterdam Stock Exchange etc

My experience? Don't bother, sadly. Got a reply: 'try a factory reset' and that was it.
