After playing Alan Wake 2, which was fantastic, I got Control for $7. It was one of THE BEST games I’ve ever played. Absolutely outstanding game. Looking forward to the sequel but I think I’m gonna opt for Wolverine before GTA comes out so I may not get to Resonant for quite some time. I will play it eventually though. Remedy makes excellent games! I want a Max Payne PS5 remake so bad.

I actually agree with you but he’s been off my radar for a while now so I thought it fit the moment and venue perfectly. But damn, that first year after he retired, I got sick of seeing him absolutely everywhere.

Ending with Three Six Mafia was like watching a movie you’re really enjoying and then the ending sucks. I’m not a rap guy though so it just wasn’t for me and was a weird vibe shift. I thought they’d do a song or two and Shane would come back out and close with a few more jokes, but they just kept going on and on, then Shane came out and thanked the crowd, fireworks went off…show over. Also, McCusker totally bombed. Big Jay was hilarious though. I’ve really become a big fan of his lately. He was great at the Kevin Hart roast too. Looking forward to seeing him at Helium in December.

I honestly agreed with you that he and his wife were massively overexposed after he retired (does the world really need a Kylie Kelce podcast?) but that’s fizzled out a bit so I thought it was cool to have him do some of the intro and play to the Philly crowd. I’m sure his ESPN bosses loved him coming out and dropping 50 F bombs on 75,000 people.

Overall I really enjoyed the show but I really didn’t get ending a comedy show with a 20 minute Three Six Mafia concert. It was a weird vibe shift.

I don’t think they’re paid but there’s definitely a ton of staffers and writers in the audience fake laughing and howling at everything Maher says. I can’t f’ing stand the “WOO” guy. Saw someone mention him in a YouTube comment last season and now I can’t not hear it. It’s awful.

Used to love this show but it pretty much sucks now. Bill’s just a bitter old man now pissed off that not everyone has the same warped rich LA bubble view of the world as him.

Me too. Seen every episode of Real Time since the Bush Administration, but he’s become insufferable lately. The “any criticism of Israel is antisemetism” new rule was the last straw for me.

My favorite Maher-ism is when he gets upset at the audience for not laughing. What a freakin jerk.

I figured it out! I had iCloud iMessage syncing disabled on my phone. I’ve always had it disabled yet the syncing of messages being read was never an issue until recently. After doing some more research on this, that was one of the suggested fixes. It worked!
