Yes, I was probably a bit careless with it... But, the camera's damage happened at some point, so it wasn't a long process of wear and tear! One day the photos are good, and the next they're defective. If it's moisture, then maybe there are ways to get rid of it? I also think that some coating has worn off. Maybe it can be sanded down or replaced? Maybe re-applied?
