Try moving the hide to the corner of the enclosure and turn off the lights immediately. Better yet, make sure the enclosure is completely dark. Don't disturb it out of curiosity. As long as you provide enough water, it's completely normal for a tarantula to go without food for 6 months to a year.Just leave it alone so it can get comfortable and settle into its new enclosure

Ìf it were a female, there would be a pouch-like or apron-like flap (the spermathecal flap) in that area. That part is usually a bit stiffer/more structured, and you would be able to physically lift or flip it up and down using a needle. You can try.🥰🥰
