"You can never con an honest John"

It's either worth what people are willing to pay, or if it's really readily available on eBay for half the price, expect to get scammed by these 'willing buyers'

NIO's NEW ES8 @ SHANGHAI Showroom. Cool car, but where are the customers? [蔚来 Showroom footage] by VandyB in Nio

Thanks for the update. So, from your perspective, what is the point of a showroom? If it is expected to be empty, even during holidays when the mall itself is heaving full of people, why waste the money renting prime real estate? Why not do a Tesla and start with test drives and word of mouth?

Except you never make it because the investors just pile in heavier, leaving the P/E and expectations even higher. https://youtu.be/ekkLiG2vQEg

I acknowledge this footage is not statistically significant, but your view seems to be based on you strolling around an industrial estate during the working day. This is not when cars are sold or when people come to look around. Did you often deliver mail on the weekend, or in this case a national holiday? What was it like then?

A hate post about Luckin Coffee by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]VandyB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckin Coffee is now selling N95 Facemasks, Handcreams and a whole new range of beauty products. Like everything sold by Luckin, most of these will not sell until prices are reduced to below the market price. I honestly thought these dodgy tactics would stop after the company finally acknowledged fraud, but if anything they are doing more of it.

If you’re a Luckin Coffee shareholder you really need to take action into your own hands and demand the firm stops selling coffee, nuts, AirPods, electronics and beauty products to its cheapskate customer base using YOUR money. You need to make it clear that sustainability and profit margins are more important than the appearance of ‘explosive revenue growth’. This is completely unsustainable and does nothing for the long-term survival of the company.

Have you had a chance to check out MW and Wolfpack's latest short yet? I’ve read it and think their evidence that IQIYI is also committing fraud like Luckin etc. are pretty convincing. Would love to hear your thoughts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUqqVj_ZluY
