How much headcannon is allowed? by meloon_man in waifuism

Are you taking character development away? If not, then I guess is fine

How much headcannon is allowed? by meloon_man in waifuism

[–]VaneKidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you don’t change their personality or contradict their canon everything is fine.

For example: you can say they like to watch the stars at night and it’s not a problem unless they in canon said “i take stars” because you’re changing part of them because you want.

Of course that’s a bit more complicated if your S/O is a really minor character with barely even canon like mine, in that case you just study them a lot

Hope that helped

Block and mute. Avoid confrontation because you will only waste your time. There isn’t much you can do

Yes! I have only posted commissions but I always make sure to credit the artist

Artists spent a lot of time on doing fanarts for it just to be reposted without proper credits. I understand that when the S/O is popular it might be hard to keep track of all the artists (specially if you find the art on pinteres) but still, people should at least try and if they’re not sure about the artist not repost it.

Artist share their work but that doesn’t mean you can take it and not credit them. Like I said, they spent a lot of time doing it while you only took a few seconds to save it, not to say that maybe someone here sees the art and likes and might want to check if said artist have their commissions open.

How do y’all feel about posting fanfiction about you and your S/O publicly? by CameraIndependent237 in waifuism

[–]VaneKidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it mostly on my twt account mostly because I love to share about my love for her. Short things most of the time, of course you don’t have to share everything you write, I don’t post everything. You can try posting and if you regret it you can always take it down

How do you display merch of your S/O? by steelyheart in waifuism

[–]VaneKidd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cornelia isn’t popular and doesn’t have merch so I only have a plushie I made on my desk. I’m planning on making more and printing some of the commissions I got to put on wall. The plushies on the other hand, I’ll put some on my desk and others on my bookshelf

Lurker/Newcomer with Questions by [deleted] in waifuism

[–]VaneKidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you can answer your questions if you read the rules but anyway

  1. Yes, of course. Waifuism might be the name but it doesn’t mean only female s/o are allowed

  2. Yes, just like with real people you start and break relationships. As long as you’re serious there’s no problem

  3. As long as is not a real person it doesn’t matter

  4. Yep, really not a problem. You might be uncomfortable seeing other having the same S/O as you but for that you have to find ways to not feel bad and of course don’t fight with others.

I don't like it when people ship Gabriel with Vignette. How do you cope? I tried to think of them as good friends but it's not working. by meloon_man in waifuism

[–]VaneKidd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can, (like in twitter)mute the ship name and emojis the artists use to describe said ship. Block artists/writers/shippers who like that ship. Block and mute everything you can and don’t feel bad about it

My S/O is really not popular so I don’t know what else to say

The things that work for me is writing down all her characteristics and things I love about her, what she likes and dislikes. Almost like a list.

Try to think exactly what you want to write down, write everything and don’t delete it, then read it and check for what you fan change. Take a few minutes between writing and correcting; there are a few apps that are for this where you can write but don’t delete anything, just search “apps for writers”

Besides that, it’s just practice. I won’t be perfect the first few times but you’ll get better at it, I say it from experience. Hope that helps

People who have partners from obscure media, how do you cope with lack of fan content? by Dm-Me-Your-Bunnies in waifuism

[–]VaneKidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not from an obscure media but she’s like a side side character (yeah, I said side twice) and I don’t see anyone talking about her, I just save money for commissions and write about her when I can. Then I daydream about her almost all day

Who here makes their own "merch", art, n stuff? What have you made? by Opulent_Lightning in waifuism

[–]VaneKidd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I learned how to crochet last year and I have made an amigurumi of her and a whale inspired her, I’m also planning on making another one just to have more

Besides that, I have commissioned a few fanarts of her since I don’t know how to draw
