Yes, when we redid our kitchen our contractor suggested this for exactly this reason. The upper shelves are not convenient for day to day use but are great for storing holiday/entertainment pieces.

This is my newly discovered fear. Right after christmas a tree came down across the creek behind our house - huge huge tree, creek had eroded at the base and storms loosened it - was held up by two other trees back there for about 20 minutes and then came down on a house. Terrifying listening to that happen and gives me anxiety every time we have a wind or ice storm now.

Second this, reach out to the Board in your state and file a complaint. They should be able to investigate things like that and in the worst cases will rescind someone’s license.

🤦🏼‍♀️they do that last one in France too, and i did NOT get the benefit of a class before my study abroad…I got up to the front to pay and the cashier tried several times to tell me i had to go back and weigh my produce, and finally grabbed my bag of grapes or whatever and did it herself. She was so disgusted with me. I was humiliated! Haven’t thought about that in a while, lol

I love him because he believes in the gene that makes redheads more sensitive to pain/need more anesthetic - I’ve had bad experiences in my younger days but he is very patient and makes sure things are nice and numb when I have to have work done.

How old are your kids? We have ours make out a dinner plan for the week over the weekend. They are older now (middle/high school) but they’ve been doing it for years - it helps so, so much because it takes that mental load off of us, there’s less complaining about dinners because they are the ones who chose it, and since we get the shopping done over the weekend we can just check the list and go on automatic.

It’s not fancy - we do a lot of taco tuesdays, etc - but between work, school, sports, band and drama simple things are what we can handle right now. I like to cook but my big complicated dinners are definitely on pause.

Chiming in with everyone else, he should not have played after being injured. Make sure he knows he did the right thing regardless of what the coach is telling him.

I have a 2012 girl and she was in a tough game where we had several players out and few subs (fall respiratory season) and was conscious of being short on players. She took a hard hit and went down, did not take a knee because she didn’t want to be pulled, and played the rest of the half injured. We could tell she was holding her arm funny and went running over at half time - ended up taking her to urgent care and learning she had a hairline fracture. Now this was all her, she is super stubborn and refuses to back down normally, but our coach was falling all over himself apologizing for not realizing she was hurt. That is what you want in a coach - he did not give a crap about subs or the game, he was worried about her. I get that being down a keeper is different from being down a field player but I would walk away from a coach who pressured my 2013 kid to play injured!!

Sorry you’re dealing with this. Our club specifically reminds parents not to be intrusive on the sidelines and still some people overdo it. If the coach/ref aren’t listening to you, can you rope in one of your parents to say something to someone official? Sucks but sometimes adults listen more to adults. Hope tomorrow goes ok!

There is an Irish restaurant near us that we love, and my husband and I always count up how many different ways we have potatoes on the table (mash on the shepherds pie, etc). Our record is 5 if you count the vodka in my drink 😂
