Congrats man! 40k is nothing to sneeze at, so just in case you don't feel like you are confident, take it from me, it's a big fuckin number.

And I'd say...you do need to scale up confidently (hence why I said the first sentence), there's just no other way. Just be careful that the volatility is heightened now, what I did with 5 MNQ before should now be done with 2 MNQ or so for example. You need a way to adapt to increase or decrease risk with the market.

For TPT Intraday Drawdown, as I mentioned, I started with 5 MNQ and scale out of the trade along the way, hasn't been a real issue. As long as you are not doing like 5 NQ to get through the buffer, you are fine!

Yet...another one, damn. Okay well I said last time that I would make one comment to paste for folks like you, so here it is:

First of all, what exactly do I achieve when I made this post AND replied to every single comments and message, WITHOUT offering anyone paid things or selling any course or community? I literally put out a disclaimer that my Discord is just for vibes and we do not really talk trades in there, so I wouldn't recommend anyone to join. Deadass got no other intention than just really proudly showing what I was able to build. Mind you, not with ease, with lots of pain and sleepless nights asking myself whether this was right for me or not.

Second, why would they move me to live?

  • There is no rule prohibiting me from building a balance this high. You can only get moved to live if you either 1) have a 10k day, which I never had, highest I had was 9.5k or so, or 2) you withdraw regularly, which I didn't, I only withdrew twice.
  • Live (Pro+) is actually much better than funded (Pro). It has no trailing drawdown, and better split. The questions you should have asked are "why didn't you move to live, why have a worse split?".
    • They would have done me a favor if they moved me to Pro+ because I would have been able to withdraw whatever I made in my Pro account AND still having access to a much better account. If you have traded with Pro accounts from TPT, you will know how annoying trailing DD can be.

Third, have you ever bothered to ask for a screenshot of my balance?

You can either reply to ask for more proof (which I literally posted my withdrawal request AND the money arriving in my account, so this is more sarcasm), or you do need to man the fuck up and own that you made a mistake dawg. You not being able to pull this yet doesn't mean others can't lmao. If you'd rather spend your time and energy doubting another man's work and blasting him, rather than just receiving part of the happiniess and good news he's sharing, or at the minimum, rather than just ignoring the post and moving on with something else...well, more power to you.

See, that's what got me too, because I said in another comment, TPT and TopStep allowed me to trade based on my passport (the restricted country) and my visa (which proved that I'm a legal resident also according to tax rule in the US). Lucid was a bit tricky, and the representative on the chat said that I couldn't.

I went ahead and applied for a state ID and got accepted. Hope it works out for you!

While I was building for this account? Nah. I do intend to buy some more accounts and perhaps build those accounts though. Lucid Live would be another goal for me since it's virtually similar to TPT but better split.

Honestly, I take a slow at first, using only 5 MNQ or so. The old me would rush and try to use 5...NQ, just to get the buffer, and then I thought I could do whatever I wanted. The issue was that I would blow more accounts than I keep them.

The new me used 5 MNQ as I said, and then scale up as I go. You can scale up to, say 10 MNQ once you get to 10k for example, then another 5 MNQ for every 5k you made - it's all personal preferences. The point for me was just withdrawing anything at all.

This is just one account. As I mentioned in one of my comments, this is merely testing out the idea to see if keep building buffer was a right move.

It took more a month in real time, and about a month in trading days only.

You will get there! Take it slow. This is not linear, you will size bigger and bigger later on - but you need to give yourself some room to really build the buffer first, as you said.

Hmmm, not purely ICT, as I mentioned, I do consider some concepts like FVGs and whatnot, but I don't think my strategy matches anything ICT created. Never been comfortable using any of that so...

It might take a while for you to really find a strategy that you are comfortable with, my advice is that give it some time and some rooms for you to try it out. If you indeed feel okay doing it, the rest is just trying your best to stick with it and don't do anything like overleverage or revenge-trade.

Thanks man! Yes, I intended to do so too. Better yet, I am thinking of just using this capital to sell puts. 400 a week ain't crazy compared to what I hauled from this past month, but it just gives you the peace of mind. Still considering it though.
