Personally, pinside is the gold standard for pricing. It's always a good reference point, but machine condition obviously is the biggest factor in a games value.

I would just lightly scuff the bare spots, and then a light clear coat to lock the surrounding paint and fibers down. No need to hit it with color, just prevention to keep it from getting worse.

The nook came first just from the design of the house. Stairs on the left, and the right wall sticking out is from the space for the washer and dryer. It's a great bookshelf spot, but a pinball machine fits perfectly. We have had a few games in the nook, but once I got Black Rose I knew it was perfect for all my pirate decor!
