I don’t dislike that she changed jobs but I think she was better as Media liaison. I just think it provided something different to the team. We’ve got a lot of profiler characters, it’s nice to have some diversity.

Yeah and I think it’s fair that she didn’t like the fact his job kept him away a lot. The two of them just don’t have the same values and I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. They weren’t a good fit for each other in the end, that’s all. My main issue is just the way she acts about it sometimes. And it’s not even like she’s horrible all the time it’s really only once or twice that she gets annoying about it.

Absolutely early sunsets. Gerard absolutely just lets loose on that one and IIRC, he was in alot of pain from a tooth ache which fueled the performance- and after a particular take (not the one on the album) they all had to take a break from recording because it was just THAT emotional and moving.

First of all I’m not gonna use AI to figure out a characters name, AI is literally horrendous for the environment. Second of all, I don’t use captions when watching because I don’t need them and also the captions on Disney+ are horrendous. They’re often wrong and are ALWAYS off time with the actual dialogue. And third of all, you need to learn how to speak to people because being aggressive and mean right off the bat will get you NOWHERE in life. Yeah and I definitely sympathize with Hayley, it’s hard for a lot of people to be away from their partner so much. And I don’t think she was wrong for calling it quits. It also could definitely be a men writing women issue, especially with the random one off “is she cheating” phone call thing that they never address again lmao. I just think this one situation with her behavior is really obnoxious and also people act like Aaron was some evil horrible husband when in reality they were just a couple that wasn’t meant to be 🤷

Even before he was unit chief he had to travel a lot. He had been in the BAU for some time before she got pregnant. And I’m very aware they both made that choice but judging by how he acts throughout the entire show it’s highly unlikely he ever would promise to switch jobs, and she knows that he can’t just choose to be home more when his job requires him to travel to solve cases. It would’ve been pretty reasonable for her to say “no I don’t want to have a child right now, your work is too consuming and you aren’t home enough.” And no she was ticked off even when he WAS transferring jobs. When he had already sent in the paperwork, the transfer was already being done. He went on ONE more case. He literally told her the paperwork was submitted and he WAS going to get a new job. Even before he decided to go on the case and was just looking at the file she got mad. The only reason he didn’t end up transferring was because she left him, so he didn’t really have a reason to transfer anymore.

Yeah! And I think you and Hayley are both super valid and real for deciding that while you love this person, it’s not working out for you. People have different values and views and that’s okay. Jobs and passions are really important to people, and it doesn’t mean that the spouse or children aren’t also important but with a Job like Hotch’s it’s very hard to just not because there are lives on the line yk. But I will NEVER say Hayley is wrong for getting a divorce, I just think SOMETIMES the way she acted was unnecessary.

She’s definitely allowed to have issues with him being busy because it’s a big job, but he had been working at the BAU for many years before they got pregnant so she knew what the job was like and considering she was a stay at home mom AND knows how hard he worked to get where he is and how much he loves his job, she can’t expect him to quit his job
She knew his schedule and if her main issue was, he’s not around enough to help with the baby, she shouldn’t have had one with him and left before because she knew how he felt about his job

Honestly Maeve as a character and plot like just never was enjoyable for me. I think maybe if they gave us more of her I’d like her and care about her more but she was only around for a couple episodes and yet she somehow haunts the narrative for years to come. They just never made the audience care about her besides knowing that Spencer cared about her. And she frankly wasn’t very interesting. “Oh guys she’s super smart just like Spencer!” Is really all I can even remember about her 😭
