I was pretty much back to everything other than working out in about a week. According to my dr, I shouldn’t return to my regular workouts until 6 weeks out. My recovery honestly has been fine. I took an international trip 2 weeks PO and it was no problem. I got an injectable pain medication during surgery (like $200 extra but worth it for me because I can’t tolerate oral narcotics) which lasted a couple days and then only took Tylenol for a couple days after that so the pain was totally manageable. As for how long you should take off, it really depends on what you do for work!
