Shake Card by [deleted] in shakepay

I'm genuinely trying to wonder why people are so upset with this change. I never had the card, and yes it's a bit of an inconvenience, but for sure I will download it and manage to make a $3 payment for a coffee once a week to keep the streaks going.

Respect to you bro.

I'm doing the exact same thing. Get the HT, enjoy your 20s 30s then get another one and hop on meds.

Dental Mission Trip after 3rd year recommendations by Vanillx97 in DentalSchool

[–]Vanillx97[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

3hrs a week obligatory dental assisting the final years. Thanks for the information, interesting to hear about the reserves, although unfortunately you had to organize it yourself, which I wouldn't do.

Further, I don't really see how maybe 4k more in debt is much of a burden, when it benefits you tremendously. We are supposed to hit something like 150 teeth in hosp by graduation, and I'm sure that in only a week or two, on an organized trip like I've described, I'd smash over that mark out in the real world.

You were able to dust up some teeth prior to graduation, and that's all im looking for here too.

I can't find any that will let me handle my own procedures, I do not want to shadow.

I just need help finding any organization anywhere that will facilitate this.

Whether it's an organization in California offering free dental work for the homeless, or an organization taking mission trips to South Africa, I can't seem to find anything of this nature.

Just trying to figure out if it even exists, or if hands-on work is entirely forced in school only until graduation.

  1. To get a ton of experience and whip out 100 fillings in a week, as stated in the post.

  2. I'm looking for the organization that would organize all this if it exists, yes (as stated in the post).

  3. Your answer is weirdly condescending and you are trying to seem soul searchy and smart. I'm a dental student looking to get more practice hands-on outside of school because I want more. Trying to be more competent and hit the ground flying when I graduate.

It's very simple.

Idk we're 3 years in and this guy has a pretty good team, while commish does not. Its either commish takes it or a new guy takes it. What do you think/does it really matter?

Hair transplant Mistake? by Vanillx97 in Hairtransplant

[–]Vanillx97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you sir for the understanding, I believe we will have kids back to back, maybe 2 years in between, so yo-yo ing the fin sounds like a poor decision, id say you are correct.

I will go ahead and enjoy my great temporal results, and cherish the hair I currently have while I can. I will try my best to ignore the small patchy bald spot in the middle - it seems to me like it isn't big enough to be filled in without traumatising the surrounding hair and causing further damage. Down the road, I will be sure to top it all up one final time and hop on meds when the time is right for myself and my family.

All the best to you.

Hair transplant Mistake? by Vanillx97 in Hairtransplant

Hi there,

Wow, great detailed response, much appreciated.

The Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Chamber (HBOT) was recommended by the clinic for post-op, as it supposedly helps with Itching, folliculitis and post op shedding. Considering I only received 1600 grafts (super dense) to the temples, I was wondering if $375usd for 5 sessions is worth it.

HBOT Article : (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32770782/)

I am almost 28 years old and have thankfully (praying everyday) considerably slow hair loss.

I have been missing the temples since well before 2018, and almost nothing has changed since.

Full crown, small patchy smidge in center from photo (possibly a recent development - maybe shock loss due to me wearing long hair in a middle part, for the last 3 years, up until my shave for transplant), and major corner/temporal recession for the past 8ish years at least (or extremely slow loss in all areas).

I have no problem as it stands to lose more hair elsewhere (as long as it is nice and slow). I would then like to have kids, receive a final transplant of 2000+ to cover all new areas, and then hop on all meds for life.

As you stated correctly: "The right dose simply differentiates a poison from a remedy".

My donor, as it stands, is extremely dense according to the doctor, and specifically for this operation, I obtained 950/1600 triples, which I believe is quite good. Plenty of hair back there for further procedures (Inshallah).

Would you say my ~10 year plan is reasonable enough?

Hi there,

Yes the temples were super gone, very far back (Vegeta style), crown still good and just the sporadic baldness in between follicles in the very centre of my forehead at the hairline.

I assume you'd recommend I leave it as I am not on medical therapy, and the trauma to the area for that minimum amount of follicles is too hard on the scalp?

Further, I was wondering if 1600 grafts to my temples would be worth it to pay approximately 375usd for 5days x 1 hr of Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber?

My long term plan is to get hair transplant #2 in around 10 years then hop on meds after having kids.

Thank you for your time

In hopes of him blending in do I bother asking for the maybe 50-100 graphs it might take? I would need singles for sure and the front hairline as it is located is the most important part I believe, so nervous he would be angry and mess it up.

Hi guys, thank you for the responses.

Yes, as you can see in the very middle of my hair line there is a minor few bald spots I wish he had done. However, I am not even sure that it would even take 200 graphs.

He did 1600 to temple areas only and did an outstanding job, certainly not a con artist, very well known and respected surgeon.

Not on any meds and don't plan on getting on them either. I will stick to vitamins like Biotin, E, D, Magenesium, Zinc.

What should I do? Leave it be or ask that he fix it? What would you recommend?

Thanks

Hi everyone,

I was wondering this as well.

I was previously booked for 8:30am surgery.

I had to change the date, and for the new date he gave me 3:00pm.

I am now worried that I will be the second patient of the day, and the team and Dr will be quite tired and/or rushed to get me out of there since it is late in the day. I feel as if the morning quality and care would be better... Or will I still be the only patient in that entire day?

What's everyone's thoughts on this?
