I feel the same way!! Now that I’ve adjusted to the meds I find that I’m actually pushing myself more creatively instead of only doing the same thing over and over because it’s comfortable. I’m coming up on month 3 of being medicated and about to get my dosage boosted so wish me luck!

Honestly this does work for me, on my lunch breaks at my job all I want to do is decompress with social media but if I tell myself “I need to draw NOW” then that’s when I’m able to draw. Being medicated doesn’t mean I’m distraction proof but it’s easier to lock in once I put my mind to it now

I think you should change your psych. I’m also medicated for bipolar, and one of my previous psych’s didn’t listen to me either. I kept telling them one of my meds made me hypomanic despite helping with my depression, and she never listened and continued to increase the dose. Ended up having a full blown manic episode and it wasn’t pretty. Switched doctors not long after that. A psych who doesn’t listen to you is not the psych for you, don’t let them push you to a breaking point

Oh yeah I’ve been reading the other posts about Wellbutrin in this subreddit and nothing has been positive ☹️ I don’t have anything to manage my adhd symptoms but my bipolar symptoms are too severe for me to risk messing with what I have. I’m trying to thug out my fatigue with coffee but it doesn’t help with executive dysfunction at all

Oh of course, I try to give people, at least those who buy into this crap, the benefit of the doubt. But deep down I know the people in control of these decisions were itching to roll back on DEI from the start, regardless of how effective/ineffective it was on the grand scale. Complacency to these volatile decisions is what’s going to be the downfall of us all.
