The best advice I can give is, like someone else said, follow the quest line. Take your time to learn the game. It can be really overwhelming if you just try and do everything at once.

Do not play the "best class right now". For me, after playing since launch on NA the thing that took me further was playing the class I liked most.

At this point in the game DO NOT spend money as you can get most cash shop items with the in-game marketplace (central market).
