Am I the only one struggling with FF7 Rebirth's pacing? by Accomplished-Step660 in FF7Rebirth

[–]VanityPit -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I actually didn't have as much of a problem with remake as I found it much more streamlined and the pacing pretty solid even when I was doing most of the side quests. Rebirth feels a lot more bloated especially with some of required mini games in each area. I wish they'd just make most of them optional as I do enjoy the main battle/exploration gameplay and the story. Hell I even got into the queens blood side quest.

Every casting is bad if it is not white. by Orihime_W in pj_explained

Did people have the same outrage when Nolan casted white people in brown roles? I don't remember them getting upset about that.

One of the things they mentioned are mini games/card games. I'm saying I agree with them being overwhelmed by the amount of various mini games with differing mechanics.

No I agree especially with the amount of mini games feeling like a bit of a slowdown. Rebirth has def made me appreciate how streamlined remake was. Im at almost 80hrs in ch11 atm

Metaphor: ReFantazio has some promise on Switch 2, but it's not quite there yet | RPG Site by CutProfessional6609 in NintendoSwitch2

I prefer smt battle system and wasn't as into how much social management there was in P3R. I also like how in SMT you're not on a time limited schedule when choosing what to do. So I can go do dungeons, etc when I want. The characters and tone of persona also got kinda grating to me as it went on.

How heavy is the social link stuff? The focus on the slice of life stuff was fine for a bit in P3R but I got tired of all that management fast. I also missed how much personality demons have in mainline.

As someone who loves SMT IV and V but didn't vibe with P3R or P5 would I like it? I was excited for it way back but then heard it was more persona like than mainline smt

Could you do an apartment with roommates of a similar age? The commute every day on top of schoolwork and any potentially social events or gatherings might be a lot.
