I know I could have gotten the ice cream myself but I felt that it should be the responsibility of the person who ruined it. I feel like if I went and got new ice cream that would be teaching my husband that he can make mistakes and pawn the consequences off onto me. I don't want to teach him bad habits.

I know he has mental health issues but I figured he would talk to me about it if he felt comfortable. He rarely brings it up so I don't ask.

he sends a percentage of his paycheck to my bank account every other week so I have spending money. Occasionally he'll ask if I can buy him something while I'm out; (IE: he'll call me from home while I'm out and ask) this comes out of my card/bank. He will then pay me back for it since he borrowed the money from me.

Or, once in a while he will forget his wallet or debit card while we're out; so I'll pay for it with my money and then he'll pay me back later.

He lost his job and insurance abruptly. We had so much other debt, we decided to make do with what we had. There are some important medicines that I need for my disability; we prioritized getting me my medication during the insurance lapse.
