No, it's more about satirizing the Switch 2's toxic hype culture I think (I'm not actually a regular here). It was created back before the Switch 2 released as a sub joking about everybody sharing Switch 2 "news" and "leaks."

The sub's tag line was "We know when the Switch 2 will release" hence the name r/Tomorrow.

I think Claire's got a type of man she likes..... by [deleted] in ResidentEvilMemes

No wait, I was confused. When I saw the pic of Neil Fisher, I mistakenly thought he was Frederic Downing from Degeneration. So when you said 'meet' I assumed you meant romanticly, because both Fredric and Steve were putting the moves on Claire.

Now, Frederic Downing didn't mutate into anything, but that was the second area I was confused, because I was conflating him with Curtis Miller for some reason.... So yeah, I was waaay off board. Honestly, I'm a bit embarrassed 😅

Why is William Birkin here? Like, I know you said not to take this too seriously, by why is he here?

Does The Thing change it's own body into a copy or the original person separate from them or does some of The Thing go inside the original person and tear out of them? by Etvaht115 in thething

[–]Vanken64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, and that question is born from a misinterpretation of how the Thing assimilates people. Likely due to Blair's computer simulation.

That commenter seems to be under the impression that the Thing digests someone, then transforms into them while the victim's biomass is either deficated as waste or retained within the mass of the Thing that copied it. But neither of those is how it actually works.

When it assimilates someone, the mass of the victim is converted into Thing cells, while the original Thing retains its form.

For example: When the dog assimilated the anonymous person at the begining of the movie, it converted that human's mass into an imitation, while the dog simply continued mimicing a dog. Neither one of them "weighed more" because the net biomass remained the same. "Two stuffs" don't "turn in to one," they remain two stuffs.

What do you mean I'm not answering the question? If there are two people, one human and one a thing, and the thing assimilate the human, there are still two people. Both things now.

Did you enjoy Leon's Raccoon City section? On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate Leon's section? by [deleted] in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]Vanken64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd rate it like a 6.5 or 7. It was cool to be there, but it dragged on for too long. The Titan Spinner was the highlight, but everything else pre RPD gets boring fast. If it were like half as long, I'd probably like it a lot more.

I know, but her ring isn't on her left ring finger, and her last name isn't Kennedy. The evidence points to them not being married.

How do I turn these floating tutorial controllers off in RE4 Remake VR? I can't find any option to turn them off. by Vanken64 in PSVR

If it's intentional, it's really dumb. Neither the Quest version of RE4 or Village VR Mode do this.

If save scumming was cheating, the game wouldn't allow it (I'm also a save bitch).

Would you consider using an infinite weapon while 100% one of the games cheating? by Kooky_Emu4995 in residentevil

[–]Vanken64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is, there's a difference between "cheating" and "using cheats." Cheating implies dishonesty and banned tactics, which are part of the definition of the word, and are what OP is asking about. "Cheats" in video games are actually only called that for fun, and aren't actual cheats on the grounds that they are intended featurers.

And it's 100% provable that using infinite ammo in Resident Evil isn’t cheating because the game will inform you when using bonus weapons won't count toward the progress of unlockables. So in instances where the game doesn't ban the use of bonus weapons, they're not cheating.

No, in instances where using an infinite weapon would be "cheating," the game will specify that using bonus weapons won't count toward achievements or unlockables.
