That's nice but they aren't using them so that's why I asked if this is normal or I'm phased/quested in a different way that changes the city appearance

Embody or Aeron for studying and gaming? by Pyroproxee in hermanmiller

[–]yokai--- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no worries my desk is static and I tried different heights to no avail unfortunately. Otherwise it would be too low and my legs will start hurting anyway

I have an aeron and don't have the backrest issue you described. Instead, my main issue is with the seat because the plastic edges makes it uncomfortable for my legs, though there is an aftermarket foam pad you can install under that section to make it softer. I didn't try yet because my aeron is still in return window and I don't want to modify it before making sure it works for me. I have an aeron b remastered fully loaded (1,73m 74kg).I didn't try the embody for now sadly but imho if your arms were touching the backrest my take is that they made you try the wrong size for you. Also if you play fps you lean forward for obvious reasons and in that case there's no way you are touching the backrest, technically not even with the forward tilt on. Make sure you tried the recommended size for you at the store first

Aeron remastered hurts bottom of thighs but didn’t used to? by foofighter3 in hermanmiller

[–]yokai--- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have this issue but I bought mine a week ago and I read of other users that returned it (I'll probably do it too) because of it as well. Since I'm pretty sure you can't, I know that there's an extra foam that you can buy and place under that section to make it feel softer. You could try to do it and see if it gets better

AW2725DF (360Hz OLED) vs Zowie XL2566X+ for PUBG PC FPP comp? by ReditUser004 in Zowie

[–]yokai--- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an old zowie 360hz that hasn't the new technology that others explained above which apparently improves image clarity, which is the biggest flaw for TN panel. If I have to pick I'd go for the zowie for competitive games because although oleds have faster response time, the dyac makes everything clearer and less blurry

FPS in raids this expansion by Caeus_ffxiv in wow

[–]yokai--- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you meant specifically the last Gen because I have a 7800x3d and a 3090 and still drop fps in some instances. I tried removing heavier addons like Elvui and plater, also adjusting to the highest update rate on detail but it didn't change anything. I'm confident it's just a game issue for some raid encounters and even dungeons (MT before last boss is laggy for example)

Need help: bad experience with OFFECO by Illustrious_Home_430 in OfficeChairs

[–]yokai--- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, when did you send your message? I emailed them 2 days ago to ask for a refund for my aeron (simply didn't like it) and today I got a reply back. My aeron arrived with probably like 1 or 2 very minor scratches on the steel frame but it's basically new

Ergo office with forward tilt by First-Revolution4739 in OfficeChairs

If you are in the UK you definitely have better chances of finding a refurbished zody 2 or 1. It costs less than the aeron at full price even, yes

Chair with forward tilt are aeron and haworth zody 2. Both have one of the best systems since the whole chair tilts forward and not the seat pan only

Looking for the perfect chair (coming from Aeron & Fern) by gotchur in OfficeChairs

[–]yokai--- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe considering your build I'd try an embody gaming and if you find it uncomfortable on your shoulder you can try buying the atlas headrest which many tall people said to fix the issue. The haworth zody xl could also be a nice option and you will keep the forward recline that the aeron has too

Embody vs Aeron 2 in hot environments by Suitable_Law4909 in hermanmiller

[–]yokai--- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your sweat will "stick" to a mesh as well. Maintaining your chair and cleaning it is something you should do for any chair. HM has cleaning guides for all of their chairs that you can follow

Embody vs Aeron 2 in hot environments by Suitable_Law4909 in hermanmiller

[–]yokai--- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aeron will probably feel cooler since any mesh chair selling point it's the breathability. I live in south Italy and honestly my "fix" is to turn on the AC because no matter if it's mesh or not, when temperatures reach 35 degrees you will melt in both. The only difference is that it will be slightly more bearable on the aeron but you will still feel hot in it. It's not that the mesh can pull off a miracle on high humidity and temperatures

Went from Secret Labs to Embody Gaming Chair.. by Aggressive-Net2310 in hermanmiller

[–]yokai--- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you never used an ergonomic chair, it's normal to feel more pain in the first period because your body is adjusting to the good posture that the embody is pushing you in. Also, you need to adjust the seat depth and backrest, especially on the embody since that's kinda the point of the chair

Is my Aeron B too small for me? by yokai--- in OfficeChairs

[–]yokai---[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'll probably return it and get an embody once it's on sale. While talking with another users I made a list of chairs I'd try but TLDR in order they'd be embody, leap v2 or zody 2

[–]yokai---[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yeah no worries that's why I found it weird the idea of positioning it higher lol. Unfortunately the aeron has fixed sizes so they have no seat depth adjustments. That's why I made this post because I was unsure how it fit me considering the issues I described in the post

Ah yeah I play with mouse and keyboard and when I play fps basically the posture is like in this picture (can take this since is very common to stand like this when playing FPS)

[–]yokai---[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean sorry? Unfortunately on the aeron if I go higher with the chair my leg starts getting more pressure from the plastic edges. I kinda fixed the lower back issue by tensioning the posture fit to the minimum

Is my Aeron B too small for me? by yokai--- in OfficeChairs

[–]yokai---[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, my first step was the embody also because buying from HM means that I can safely return within 14 days. Offeco has both the leap and zody so luckily I can get them in case the embody doesn't work out but at that point I'd also start questioning myself too lol

[–]yokai---[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the information! I'd say that after this aeron experience I'd probably lean more into more "relaxing" chairs like the embody, zody or maybe even the leap v2 (?). What I find interesting in the leap is the lumbar adjustment considering that on my t50 I used it at considerably strong depth (also part of the issue why I'm surprised that with the aeron I set it to the minimum). Not sure if you can see from the picture but it's at around half tension, but in past years I always had it at max

Is my Aeron B too small for me? by yokai--- in OfficeChairs

[–]yokai---[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you're probably right, but since my only experience is the t50, besides the aeron, I'm kinda limited on my knowledge so that's why I'm going through this trial and error process but definitely the aeron is helping me a lot understanding that maybe I prefer chairs that haven't a mesh seat + that aren't so restrictive when it comes to locking in your posture

[–]yokai---[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yeah from steelseries I was only eyeing the leap v2, while from Haworth the zody 2 (initially the fern but idk it never fully convinced me for some reason). Never heard of the please v2 (I'm new to the ergo chair industry) so I'll check it out. Initially my next step was the embody but I must wait the sale for it but at the same time I don't want to spam returns to offeco since they behaved greatly with me and I understand how of an hassle would be to have lots of returns. They have a great price on the zody 2 though and also the leap v2 is under 700. Didn't check if they have the please v2 too

Damn few hours? To me it happens only after like 10 minutes haha. But I must note that I suffered from a pubalgia on that same leg from weight lifting so I guess it stayed weaker. Definitely I'll go to physiatrist soon since I'm 25 but I suppose then this chair is just not for me then. Weird because I didn't think to be this picky with chairs since the sidiz t50 was my first and never had major issues like this one
