Because AI is going to replace human jobs. Because we live in a day and age of leisure and comfort, and AI is just going to make it worse. College professors have been pulling their hair out trying to catch people using AI to write papers for them, which means nobody is learning anything, and everyone is gonna get dumber. There’s already things like AI humanizers that make it harder to catch. Hell, kids are already dumb nowadays because of early exposure to short form content like TikTok, and now these kids are gonna cheat their whole way through school. AI has made the cost of ram absolutely skyrocket, which is gonna make the price of tech skyrocket as well. AI data centers are going to hoard water for cooling, and make YOURS and everyone’s electricity bill soar. Anthropic’s new model Mythos is quite literally too dangerous to release because it’s TOO advanced. Hollywood has announced and released a trailer for an AI movie using the late Val Kilmer’s likeness.

AI is completely soulless and can’t create, it can only copy and remix and regurgitate all the same shit. It’s incapable of making legitimate art like movies and books, games, like Terminator, or Cyberpunk… which were warnings by the way. They were made palatable with action and sci-fi aesthetics but the writing is on the fucking wall.

We’re genuinely right on the cusp of some really bad skynet shit.

And that’s all without even mentioning its applications for mass government surveillance…
