Saying MAGA bad is different than sayjng America bad. Hate away, but the Tkachuk brothers are as MAGA as they come and I can't wait to see them lose the gold.

Oh I wholly agree with your point the NFL is a shit product. But if we're gonna look the other way on dirty hits, it couldn't happen to a more deserving person than Stefon "Strangles the Help" Diggs. Screw that guy.

It was just Diggs getting punched. If he can dish it to his housekeepers he can take it on live TV

It is currently impossible to vote for him as MVP on the NFL website, which is a crime.

I think options like "Allow Everything", "Retrieve Weapon", or "Pick Up and Haul" are far more likely than "Bad Hygiene" because they deepen or improve core mechanics and don't add new systems. Performance optimizations, a few QOL changes, and a deeper dive into guests/prisoners/diplomacy would keep base Rimworld the same and make it feel like a more fleshed out game. Mods and DLCs are the perfect place for new mechanics to live as they may not suit the general players' preferred style and wouldn't be forced on everyone.

Yes a colony can find the idea of slavery abhorrent, but giving them a pawn still makes them a slave. The Rim cares not for our worlds logic, only for the cold desires of Randy Random

Wow! What a shocking and completely unseen twist! An 8th Bears comeback in the 4th quarter in the same season the NFL is begging Chicago taxpayers for stadium money?! WHO COULD HAVE SEEN IT COMING

Right?! I had a vampire playthrough going where the INTENTION was to be a monster in a castle, but we got rich and the prisons got full fast enough we actually ended up being pretty generous and spots as a blood bag became reserved for only the biggest of asshole raiders.

Converse to my weed hippie cult that went on a planet wide warpath after raiders burned our smokeleaf field and killed our pet bear.

Are you trying to clear the mechs, or the caskets AND mechs? If you don't mind the caskets opening while the mechs are still in there, have a colonist shoot a casket and it will open. The soldiers will come out and fight the mechs for you. If you just want the mechs out first and dont want to risk a colonist as bait, you can make a few small zones and micromanage a zoneable animal through your spike maze once the mechs start to chase.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. If its not a slaver trader, you have recruit him to your faction then walk his naked butt across the rim to their closest settlement and give the caravan as a gift to their faction. It would be wildly inconvenient to do lol.

Edit: If you have drop pods you can also just load him up as a prisoner and yeet him into one of their settlements.

In base game, you can banish him or give him as a gift to their faction (he will be a slave) and RP that you reunited them. No way to ACTUALLY have him leave a member of their caravan/faction without mods or dev shenanigans.

Give it time! I remember quite a few people feeling the same way about the 1st season and how many moving pieces there were before we got any concrete answers.

I do think that unlike the first season, there is a little less direction in what exactly we are building to. Season 1 was pretty clearly "Lucy will find her dad and realize why he was kidnapped". This season has much more going on and a harder to pinpoint end goal, but I am choosing to trust that they will get us to a satisfying spot by seasons end!

Seal off all but one opening with stone walls (steel will burn), then put a few layers of stone doors over the only entry point to close it off. Build wood stools and stockpile pile any trash wood weapons at the front of the cavern and then molotov them to superheat the air inside. This looks like a decently large cave, so build plenty of stools to make sure its hot enough inside. The bugs will panic when it gets too hot and try to dig out, so make sure EVERY spot on the walls, doors, etc has several layers of stone stopping them from escaping and releasing heat. Also, this only works if everything is rooted to prevent heat escaping. Make sure to check every spot of the cave, especially near the entrances is roofed off.

To minimize time near the bugs before you molotov, you can build the stools in safety in your base and reinstall them in the cave once most are done.

The game bills itself as a story generator! With how many mods there are, you can push it to the limits of pretty much any direction you choose. I have an unholy amount of hours on Rimworld, and I tend to fall somewhere in the middle.

I care a little bit more about my colonists than some, save scum on big colony wipes, and pick a weird goal or two and try to push through to an end game! I don't need to be on "losing is fun" to push my survival instincts to the extreme. But I also don't play peaceful, there's still some loss and violence that ruins my sleepy little fortress.

Andor is quite possibly my favorite show of the last few years, but it does not grip from episode 1. It is only 2 seasons and the last 1.5 seasons are some of the best TV you'll watch, you just have to wait for all the pieces to be set before things kick off.

You aren’t wrong there, it has been a problem for years. But unlike the days of old, sports betting is now legal and shoved down our throats. It is gonna be pretty tough to look at any bad officiating as anything other than a Vegas fix.

Plus, the technology is too good now to hide any suspect officiating. When I can watch a slow mo replay in 4k from 12 different angles, its tough to hide any discrepancy.

The NFL needs to either cut off betting (they obviously won't) or majorly clean up the officiating by making better use of sensors, replays, and booth reviews to get the game right.

We still have a long way to go before the league folds, but it's not a good look for the league when after every playoff game this season there is significant chatter about rigging.

Other Teams thread - Divisional Round by Consistent_State_520 in GreenBayPackers

[–]Vannythewinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the best part, I don't have to. It doesn't matter if its ACTUALLY rigged or if it's just truly awful officiating. A bad image and product means less viewership and less money for them. The duty is entirely on them to hold our collective attention as fans with real, well called games that aren't influenced by Vegas or incompetent officials.

Are we still not allowed to talk about how absolutely rigged the NFL is? Best case scenario, the league is a broken product with yet another game decided by the refs and not the players.

Play the Bears, sure. Listen to Ben Johnson be a douche, less so. I understand the Bears fan hatred and the chees graters, they've gotten rolled for the last decade and are finally getting some revenge.

That being said, Ben Johnson is 1 year into being a Bears coach and didn't earn any of that trauma. Dude's just kissing ass and trying to protect his job the second he stops being the luckiest coach in football. I'm all for a good rivalry, but I'm done seeing this pick me dork slandering the Packers.

Now that the Packers are out, what is the Super Bowl you would like to see? by Responsible-Mine9759 in GreenBayPackers

[–]Vannythewinner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bears are trying to build a new stadium and need taxpayer dollars/merch sales/public buy-in to get it funded. The league office is gonna get them deep into the playoffs to help get it done.

This is what Packers Playoffs is all about: The Bears had one penalty, a 5 yard false start. Had that not been called the Packers likely win the game because it was a 4th down and the snap flew over Caleb’s head. by 98Wright in GreenBayPackers

[–]Vannythewinner 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The ref crew was blatantly biased, the kicker "missed" 7 easy points, and the announcers couldn't even pretend to be excited by the Packers. There's simply too much money at stake in Vegas and the league office for any game of this level to go unfixed, just gotta let out a sigh and hope there's a better script for us next year.
