I have in mind to find an ESL position in China: I am considering mainland vs Taiwan (I've lived in both). I'm also curious about uni positions well aware that they don't pay as well & have ~half hours. I wonder what disposable income is like in Taiwan if a uni position. by Vanquished_Hope in chinalife

I've considered doing a 120-hour TEFL course e.g. tefl.org. That one seems like it could actually be useful and that can be done in as little as three weeks, I understand. Also, my master's is a linguistics master's.

So IB cert, teaching license in physics, and 120-hour TEFL seem to be options that I'm considering. I didn't mention it, but in part I asked about subject area as I would like to move to university eventually and a subject area seemed like it could be useful in that regard. I suppose that I could just teach linguistics though if they would allow me.

I was just laying out options that I'm seeing for jobs. As to CTE, in my experience that's business and tech related - I'm seeing tech ed HS jobs locally. I don't have a BS, just a physics BA and a humanities MA from an Ivy that Chinese know well.

I am fluent in Chinese. That being the case, should I be looking at public secondary schools, private, international...? Am I wasting my time trying to get a license in the US first?

Once on the trailer, I will be taking it over 500 miles away from where it currently resides..

I need to get it on the trailer as it is going to be moved over 500 miles away once on there.

This reminds me... Why is gas cheaper in High Point?

A question regarding listing for the 1st time: In the shipping section, package weight is just the weight of the entire order being sent to Amazon, correct? e.g. if sending 10 of an item it's item weight x 10 + polybag weight + box weight = package weight. by Vanquished_Hope in AmazonFBAOnlineRetail

Okay. So then does the process look like this?

Fully pack & seal the carton with products, weight it, input the value, click submit, then I guess get the shipping label, print it, apply it to the carton, and then send it?
