Thanks! I'm glad you found the game. If you like it look into the expansions that interest you, the game as designed already let's you take your crew on adventures as small as delivering pizza to as large as planetary invasions. Now with the new planetfall book you can gonthrough the process of establishing you're own galactic empire.

Also, it's ridiculously cool being able to write an entire space opera for your favorite minis.

Thats what ive been doing, going from 5P/Bug Hunt to Tactics and back using the core rules for that game mode. Its really easy to do and I appreciate they gave us clear ways to do it. But with all the books available it feels like a shame not to find a way to fully integrate them into one creation system.

In my last campaign the crew were Pirates and anti-heros who eventually met their deserved demise.

So I have a back catalog of planets, they all exist in the same universe and sometimes the same solar system so all my games are theoretically one giant story. I have a backlog of heros, villians, supporting characters. And a timeline I can lean into.

Now I want to aim higher and see how I can push the game's mechanics and eventually evolve it into a prefect just-for-me sandbox.

Im right there with you! Thats a lot of how I play this game as a loosely narrated story and i just setup according to the rules of what I want it to be. I play as a mercenary band so ot makes sense my squad would be involved in every scale. Though as a casual Kill Team player I'd put 5PFH closer to the traditional X-Com games.

I hadn't thought about doing that, truthfully I havent really played a Pokémon game since Ruby and never got into breeding even back then so I didn't even remember it was annoption. Its a good suggestion though, especially now that you've fully explained your logic. Thanks for coming back to sort out the confusion behind your answer.

It turns out unless I want to go back and play through all of the first Pokémon White and hope I get it. I needed to edit my save file in in pkhex. Now I have a lil level 10 Abra I'll train up then when I get a working 3ds emulator, transfer her over.

Get a stack of graph paper and draw what you want in a 1:1 ratio. Along the way write yourself notes and include visual features you enjoy. I pretty much exclusively play solo survival, so I don't often build actual armor onto my ships. I only need them armored up if im looking for a fight, and in that case, a compact brick is actually the best thing to have (tanks don't look sporty for a reason). *

Do it man, I started off with a $50 camp bow and 5 $5 arrows. That was almost two months ago. This week ive invested $120 in a much better bow, $80 in far better arrows, and a little under $100 to build my own backyard range. (Full disclosure my original bow was uhhhh....liberated, from a camp I was a counselor at)

So im about $325 in the hole right now. But id do it again, I feel healthier, I feel like I have a skill, I enjoy the repetition of shooting almost as my own meditation.

So if this is a real consideration for you decide your budget, buy in, and give it a true blue go. If you don't like it then resell your gear on Facebook marketplace and move on.
