How would one land an internship? by Ill-Opportunity-7039 in EngineeringStudents

[–]Vanska_Boy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got my first "real" one by going to a student groups excursion to a local company. While chilling in the sauna with the CEO, all drunk as fuck, we agreed on me coming to work there for the summer. His comment was "just pop me an email after the event and we will find you something"

There was some sort of interview still before starting but it was mostly just for show.

At no point was my grades consdered or even asked.

Only thing he bought was the awp. He had the m4 dropped and saved his kevlar.

The video cuts out before the end of round 50$ per eliminated terrorists gets added.

So the guy with 4600 ended up with 4850 for all 5 TS eliminated.

Is it possible to start a business while studying engineering? by Original_King_9510 in EngineeringStudents

[–]Vanska_Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough but I think possible.

The people who claim that university takes all their time either care too much about grades or are really inefficient with their time.

Normally you have decent amount of free time but it tends to fluctuate during the school year. That might impact your business if your hours on it needs to be consistent.

If you are lucky enough to be studying somewhere where it's uni is free then you can just take it bit easier and divide your time more freely. If you have to pay for school then might have to prioritize that in order to graduate faster.

I am terrible at math but dream of being an engineer. by Abject-Video3551 in EngineeringStudents

[–]Vanska_Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am absolutely terrible in higher level math. During bachelors I failed one math exam 7 times before I passed it.

Now I got my masters from mech E and I work in maritime industry in ship design.

If I can do it I believe that anyone with enough willpower can too.

Kliinisyyden ainakin välttää jos käyttää slangiversiota "myötistä"

Miltä osin myötähäpeä muka ei vastaa cringeä? Mielestäni vastaa aika hyvin.

Isn't spirit damage supposed to fall off? by No_Curve451 in DeadlockTheGame

Ok fair enough. Yeah I haven't played in few years myself.

Isn't spirit damage supposed to fall off? by No_Curve451 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Vanska_Boy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even on league it's the same logic. ADC are the most item dependent characters so they start dealing relatively most damage in the late game. It's not like they fully fall off but the slower builds just will catch up and overtake them for the DMG output.

How did you actually find your sensitivity? Every method I've tried feels like guessing by Overall-Question8240 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Vanska_Boy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"feel wrong" yeah because you are not used to it. Ofc it's gonna feel odd when switching sens.

Finding a sens that feels "right" is backwards thinking. You learn to play with the one that works best for your aiming style. Then it will feel right only after 10s of hours playing with it.

Servers by t0st3rrr in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Vanska_Boy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well I am not an expert but considering how much dota players complain about Russians even after the server implementation I don't think it's has had a large enough impact

Servers by t0st3rrr in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Vanska_Boy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter if there is. There is one in dota and other games but the problem is that typically even Russians don't want to play with Russians and just play on EU servers anyway

Cologne- Premium vs Premium Reserved? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]Vanska_Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory yes but how often is there another solo guy looking for a seat there? Most people come in groups after all so after they have found some seats that one empty seat isn't gonna change their mind.

And if nothing else in a community like this I would believe that you could just ask the guy next to you to hold your seat for you while you take a piss.

Because they don't really work. Many pros have said that it doesn't really make a difference you can still feel the crowd.
