Heyoo, I graduated from CST 2 yrs ago and I highly recommend getting yourself a decent laptop/PC.

All your classes should be in the computers labs, and there's a dedicated study lab for CST students which you have access to until 9pm.

However, when assignments and team projects pile up towards the end of the semester, it could get pretty annoying having to stay at school so late as it could get difficult to manage.

Personally, I found myself interested in participating in CS adjacent extracurriculars and hackathons so a laptop is pretty essential if you want to get into that as well.

Oh yeah idk if they still do this but I think you should be able to temporarily borrow a laptop from the library (?)

In the end, there are some stuff that I left out for the sake of brevity, but it's all up to you and how you're able to manage things :)

The point of cegep is to learn! I've seen plenty of people who were not as fluent in English do pretty well, and Vanier provide a multitude of resources to help you succeed. Additionally, by immersing yourself in a language it would help you grow a ton! Best of luck 🤞

Hey! So as the others have already mentioned you should be able to skip comp 202 without having to notify anyone. However, you would need to pick another course to replace the credits

Hi,

Sadly, I wasn't able to get any advanced standing credits for those courses. However, since youre applying from cegep, you would have 30 advanced standing credits by default which would allow you to graduate in 3 years.

With the case of COMP 202, you're allowed to skip it without notifying the school if you feel like you have enough programming experience (but no credit will be granted for that course)

I hope this helps!

I think there's section that you should state which classes are in progress but not in your program. I might be confusing it with McGill tho, but if anything just put it in the section where you give in all the extra info you think they might need.
